the dog, rather the size of the fight in the dog. that's should be the motto of this d.c. charter school. they fly under the radar despite being one of the toughest competitors in the area. the lights, camera, and action of a nationally televised game wasn't too much to bear for a install charter school in northeast, named friendship collegiate academy. last week in cincinnati, ohio, they defendanted taft, 12-6 on espn u. despite 15 penalties, which cost them 85-yards. >> you learn a lot more from adversity, than you would would success. i think it's going to be make us a better team. if we would have blew the team out, i think we would have come back with our head in the sky, but we struggled with that game. >> reporter: he is one of the top five recruits in the country at 6'4", 300 pounds, he can pretty much choose where he wants to play next season. possibly maryland, or alabama. >> i don't get big headed. i just think of it as i've got an opportunity. >> eddie helps you as a coach. people would think you're a better coach than what you are. the stuff he brings to the table, we really can't teach. >> reporter: friendship collegiate stole the national spotlight, they also have one of the top recruits in the country. the one thing they can't brag about, their practice facility. it doesn't seem to effect any of these lawyers. >> we're going to go through our whole life. the just the norm for us. we doing what we love, so whatever i can play football at, that's where i'm going to play at. turf, grass, dirt. anywhere. >> in our locker room, we're not worried about our locker room. we just worry about going on the field, and playing our game. >> reporter: it's obviously, the practice field is less than ideal. imagine having no stadium for league games, and no field to play in. in it's 8th year, this charter school is making moves on the national scene, quietly struggling behind the scenes. >> not too many places in this city, where 130 african american young males, especially in 13 to 18, are doing something positive all at one time. >> reporter: don't expect to hear complaints from the knights who are making the most of their situation, after a 7-4
