She is very widely respected and she apparently has some information as to who knew what went. Did Michael Flynn, the president s first pick for National Security adviser, have some kind of inappropriate discussion with the Russian Ambassador . Sally yates is a big piece of the puzzle. What does she know . Shes a career federal prosecutor who came under president bush 41. She rose to become u. S. Attorney and attorney general of the united states. She went to the white house on january 26 and said hey, we are investigating this matter, we interviewed Michael Flynn, he lied to us, he lied to you. Instead of firing Michael Flynn, the white house fired sally yates and then didnt fire flynn until 17 days later. Fired her in connection with the travel ban but nonetheless she was let go. Thats right. One of the outstanding questions continues to be was general flynn please acting on his own when he talked to the Russian Ambassador about these sanctions or was hec shes presumably seen these intercepts, might she be able to shed light on that question . It depends on what the white house told her. The question is, was Michael Flynn freelancing or did he have authority from someone above in the higher chain of command, possibly the president elect to do this deal, if you will, with the russians to basically say were going to give you a pass for your interference in the 2016 election. And craig and savannah, it goes a larger question which is what leverage did russia have over u. S. Foreign policy Decision Making in those early days of the Trump Administration and quite possibly what leverage does russia have even to this day . And what leverage does russia believe it has in any event. What about the white houses response . They say look, this is a person who is politicized, shes a democrat, she was let go by the president in connection with her refusal to enforce the travel ban and shes gotten a ax to grind . I dont think thats the case at all. Shes very credible. She is a career federal justice department, spent her entire career as a public servant. New developments in a disturbing story out of penn state university. 18 students have been charged in connection with the alleged hazing death of one of the fraternitys pledges. Its a sad story out of penn state and the prosecutor in this case has filed 850 charges in the death of Timothy Piazza, a sophomore engineering manager who, according to his attorney, just wanted to belong. This morning, 18 members of Fraternity Beta Theta Pi are charged in the hazing death of a pledge. Eight are facing Involuntary Manslaughter charges. The other ten face lesser charges, including hazing and providing alcohol to minors. 19yearold Timothy Piazza died after falling down the stairs at an alcoholfuelled pledge event at penn state er february known as the gauntless. They made the pledges run from station to station and drink enormous amounts of alcohol. Reporter the 80page indictment reveals stunning details including instant messages, google searches and crucial surveillance video. Prosecutors say piazzas blood alcohol content was as high as. 36, four times the legal limit, when he fell around 11 00 p. M. At 11 53, prosecutors say one Fraternity Brother sends a Group Message to his brothers tim piazza might actually be a problem. He fell 15 feet down a fight of stairs hair first, going to need help. They. They knew he was in danger, they backpacked him, which is a way of making sure he didnt roll over. Reporter according to prosecutors, within an hour, piazza tried to stand up and fell head first three separate times into the hard wood floor, an iron railing and the front door. The next morning, Fraternity Brothers found piazza in the basement. Some of them injury. Reporter the d. A. Says the brothers finally called for help almost 12 hours after piazza first fell. If 911 had been called immediately as any decent human being would have done, the life of tim piazza would have been saved. Reporter penn state says the allegations are sickening and difficult to understand. The National Fraternity of Beta Theta Pi called the charges incredibly disheartening but its no consolation for piazzas parents who say theyre shattered . This did not have to happen. No parent should have to deal with this. Reporter Beta Theta Pie says it doesnt tolerate hazing and alcohol abuse and disbanded the penn state chapter which has been charged with Involuntary Manslaughter. Penn state has put other fraternities on notice, announcing aggressive actions. We didnt hear back by from the parents of the boys charged. The piazzas say none of the young men, the ones charged, have reached out to express their remorse. Penn state had their Commencement Ceremonies over the weekend. We were told by the school any male student that was scheduled to walk and has been charged is on hold right now. So well continue to follow this story. So sad for tim piazza. Unspeakable. The fcc says its going to investigate and their response will depend on whether or not they deem his remarks to be obscene. One of President Trumps harshest critics is in hot water this morning, now under investigation by the fcc for possibly being indecent or obscene after delivering this scathing offcolor joke about the president. You talk like a sign language gorilla who got hit in the head. In fact, the only thing your mouth is good for is being Vladimir Putins [ bleep ] holster. Reporter after an instant online backlash, the joke caught the attention of the federal Communications Commission. And its chairman. She definitely has latino hips. Ive always admired my mothers work ethic. Shes a nurse. She works in Palliative Care in new york and thats a tough job. Basically working with people that have terminal illnesses and showing them support and care and making the best of the last few moments of their lives. When i was four, my dad wasglio. Thats a brain tumor. He was given a prognosis of two months, he lived for four years which was a medical mare kuala lumpur. Around the time i turned eight he passed mom, me, and my two brothers. Watching my mom deal with and help me get through hard times its been an inspiration. Two years ago she got married and charles has three kids as well, two girls and a boy. They call us the army, like the brady bunch. Madelyn is a great mother. I love her very much. She would do anything for me and my brothers, were lucky to have her. She deserves this recognition. Here with us, americas vet dogs ambassador joe worley. He stopped by last summer with his Longtime Service dog benjamin who is now retired. Joe has a new comrade, this is galaxy who has some pretty big puppy paws to fill. Its like that unconditional love that, you know i mean, you hear about in the the bible. I think dogs give that to you. U. S. Navy veteran joe worley and benjamin are friends. Everywhere he goes, benjamin is on his side, helping him retrieval, mobility and stability. His entire life has been dedicated around me. I love him and i want him to know that. And i think he does. But with age its gotten harder for benjamin to keep up. Benjamin keeping up has been frankly almost mean to do to him and he would walk himself into the grave for me. Im not who i was in 2008. Im a little bit better and a big part of that is benjamin and what he was there to do worley and benjamin met through americas vet dogs, a nonprofit giving veterans of all ages a new sense of independence. Theyve provided a Tremendous Service to our country. Weve allowed veterans to live a life without boundaries. Since 2003, theyve placed dogs with hundreds of soldiers. This time around theyre introducing worley to a new friend. I guess i am nervous but the excitement is sort of overtaking the nervousness. This is galaxy. Hey hey hes just great. He took to me pretty quick. Maybe he now knew i was his new buddy. Galaxy has been home with worley for a few weeks. Hes learning the ropes. He can help me up if i fall, he can open doors when im in a wheelchair. The transition has taken a little getting used to, especially for benjamin whos now a family pet. When i ca vest out benjamin jumps up, too, and so thats its sort of i guess heart wrenching. Hes starting to learn that galaxy will take over and he can take a break now and i think hes starting to enjoy it a little bit. Thank you for your service, man. Appreciate you, brother, you, too, man. I think whats cool about americas vet dogs is they train the dog to be the bridge between you and people who ma i not have the same experience as you. They train you to reintegrate into society. You wrestling for position . And the first time or two that i walked out the door with the leash and with him and benji gets excited i feel bad. But you know i come back and benjis fast asleep and happy to see me when i get home and hes starting to understand he was slowing down. Mtvs move to create a genderless award for acting will mean Something Different to everyone but to me it indicates that acting is about the ability to put yourself in someone elses shoes and that doesnt need to be separated into two different categories. Yeah. You know, i always enjoyed the role and the reason why i t it he is so positive in the face of all this danger and the insurmountable odds and he just doesnt see it. It doesnt matter. Im so happy to have my mom linda here to help make one of my favorite dishes that i had growing up i dont know whos more nervous, me or you, mom. When i thought about being in the kitchen as a kid and what i like to eat i thought of beef wellington and gelatin delight salad, a. K. A. Jello mold. Were going to recreate these dishes and i want to point out beef wellington sounds like a fancy dish. This is probably poor mans beef wellington. Yes, and a working womans beef wellington. Its quick and easy. I love it. Its one of my favorite. So heres the ingredients. Beef tenderloin. Of course. What is the other stuff . We have dough, eggs, beef conditions may and concentrate, mushroom, salt, pepper, garlic powder. A lot of this is for the gray zi so that goes in one pam. So we start with the beef tenderloin. Do you tie it . I ask the butcher because hell tie it underneath and its ready to go. That makes it cook evenly, right . Salt and pepper and garlic powder. Put in the the oven and roast it for about 45 minutes at 425. And the best part about it is you dont think the meat is done after 45 minutes but trust that its done. Its perfectly cooked on the inside. The ends are cooked a little more. Nice and pink. So you do that the day before, wrap it up, put in the the refrigerator, keep it cold. The next day, take it out, its nice and cold, chill, youll roll out your dough. These are literally the crescent rolls that are in the can. That you take out of the can. Put it on, roll it up and make it nice and neat, roll it not reheated. Its like a swaddle. The a swaddle. I like to put it back on a rack when i cook it again. Thats why mine never cooks on the bottom. Mine is always soft and uncooked. Then you can take some depending on the season you can just get cookie cutters. I will say right now ive never seen you use a cookie kuttner my life. We had Christmas Trees at christmas. Oh, i would cut them out myself. I did. So put egg white on it and back in the oven. For about 20 minutes. 400 degrees. And it looks like this. This is what it looks like. So its so easy. So this is a madeira wine sauce. You never liked this. Sunlen didnt like mushrooms so a lot of here is the tomato paste, beef concentrate. M and butter then you already cooked your mushrooms. Then pour these back in.
