This morning we expect a feisty debate from the metro board as they meet to talk about last months derailment. Remember, all of this happened because metro actually detected a problem, a track out of alignment near the smithsonian station in early july. About a month before the derailment actually happened. Metro conducted an investigation, found out that an employee mistakenly deleted the information that pointed to the track problem. Then in early august, the derailment happened. Luckily no one was on board the train when it derailed, no one hurt, but it pointed to serious safety questions and dont forget, metro also has track workers, walkers, who are supposed to find these kind of problems manually. Go in there and find them. So far, two people have stepped down from metro there. There are calls for the Board Chairman to step down. Well hear more about when they meet at 10 00 this morning.
