So its a oneblock stretch from 13th to 14th closed. You can see over there on the lefthand side of the roadway they have things all dug up and are doing emergency repairs. The closure will be in place through rush hour and perhaps longer. And we are also told when they reopen things there will be an impact as they expect to have partial lane closures and restrictions, even when they get some of the work done. So this will linger for a couple days in the Columbia Heights area. Its a popular cutthrough so folks just have to give themselves extra time to take a little detour through the neighborhood. Water saying the very old pipe runs through this area so they have to swap out things and make the repairs.
