But that helps cool the atmosphere down and thats the reason i think sleet pellet will be a possibility. Clouds returning during the overnight. You will probably get some breaks of sunshine first thing in the morning but clouds will quickly thicken right back in. Cold air will be in place and moisture coming up over the top of that. As the rain drops try to fall through that cold air, we could get some sleet, especially likely out across parts of the shenandoah valley, panhandle of west virginia, northern and western maryland, on up into southern pennsylvania, and a time line on this is late morning through about midafternoon tomorrow. Eventually the warm air wins out, changes it all to rain and it comes quickly to an end before midnight tomorrow night and well be back in the sunshine just in time for christmas day.
