This whole deal has huge implications for jobs across the country. Nbcs Kristen Welker joins us live now. Kristen, are there any new details from the wh reporter well its back to the drawing board for president obama and lawmakers on capitol hill to take a step back. Heres exactly what happened. The house voted on two pieces of legislation today that were essentially linked. Democrats torpedoed one of those pieces of legislation, essentially handing president obama a major defeat. By all indications heading into todays votes, people on both sides of pennsylvania avenue thought that she was going to support it. It was also a stinging defeat because we saw this unprecedented outreach by president obama. Met with democrats on capitol hill earlier today. He also went to the congressional baseball game last night. He has been working the phones.
