The girl was shot in the wrist. Medics transferred her to the hospital. D. C. Police were in the area. Officers heard shots and immediately responded to the scene. They are questioning people and searching for the shooter. Homicide detectives stopped the metro bus and they are checking to see the bus surveillance camera. Were going to show you more video shortly after that happened. News of the shooting spread in the neighborhood and this crowd became very upset. Reporter we spoke to a woman on monday and she indicated that her shock is starting to turn into anger. If metro cant get its act together to get a suitcase back how can it handle the big issues . Reporter her voice still hoarse from inhaling smoke. It took four calls to metro today to learn how and where she can pick up her suitcase. She had to leave it behind on monday when the yellow line train she was riding in stopped abruptly and a routine trip became a terrifying ordeal. There was someone about 20 feet from me who seemed to be having an epileptic seizure. As we know a woman was dying. At metro headquarters this evening, police coordinated returning some backpacks and luggage left behind in the evacuation of the train.
