Its a tragic tale, almost shakespearian and frankly tainted with myths, embellishments and contradictions. The story you only think you know. Here in south africas capital city, pretoria, hordes of media are assembling to watch the murder trial of the most famous disabled athlete in history. Tonight youll hear in an exclusive interview the states case against Oscar Pistorius, a case kept secret for months. He knew that reeva was in the bathroom and he intended to kill her. A case that the prosecution argues is just as simple as it looked on day one. You cant deny that reeva was killed by himself at his house and that four shots were fired at her. And that judge, seen here in a documentary courting justice, is a former reporter and social worker known for her tough sentences, especially when it comes to crimes against women. But of course the legal burden of proof lies with the prosecutors. Theyre the ones who must convince the judge beyond a reasonable doubt that reevas death was no accident.
