Thank you, karen. We get going with breaking news. A man shot to death on a philadelphia sidewalk just blocks away from his home. Now police are chasing after the gunman and trying to figure out the motive here. Action News Reporter Katherine Scott is live in olney with the very latest on this story. Good morning, katherine. Reporter good morning, tam, thats right, police are looking for witnesses. Theyre trying to determine who was behind this. The victim was 23 years old. He was from this neighborhood. You can see that theyve opened this road back up to traffic. But this is where it happened overnight. Fourth street and rose land. Homicide dents the crime scene unit were here earlier. Officers were called shortly after 2 00 a. M. For the report of gunshots and they found the 23yearold victim lying on his back on the sidewalk. He had been shot multiple times in his torso. At least once in his head. He was pronounced dead at the scene and the medical examiner came later. Investigators found several spent shell casings just inches from the victims body. At this time we dont have a motive for the shooting. But based on Balance Latest particular evidence on the scene, it appears that the shooter was very close proximity to the victim. Reporter investigators are still trying to gather some details. Theyre looking to see if theres any Surveillance Footage in the area.
