Its also cool this morning but not like it was yesterday. 47 right now in philadelphia, 44 in allentown, line in reading, 43 in wilmington. 52 in Sea Isle City. Check out how much milder we are at this hour today than we were yesterday. Were actually 19 degrees better in allentown than we were this time yesterday when we were in the 20s and 11 degrees milder in philadelphia. So, coats appropriate this morning with these temperatures between six and eight but nothing like yesterday. 46 by 8 oclock in philadelphia, mainly clear skies to start out. Chilly conditions but better. And as we go into the afternoon its going to be milder. By noon 61, by 3 oclock 68 degrees and our high today 69 degrees late this afternoon around 4 oclock. We had a disabled taxicab here on i95 southbound at cottman. It is clear. The overnight construction is clear and you know what, you got no other worries. I95 looking good right now. Southbound traffic showing no delay and the vine is reopened. It was closed overnight for construction and it will close again tonight at 11 00 but right now we can see westbound, eastbound both moving fine. The crews have left the scene right here. We have crews in quakertown bucks county and this is because of an accident on 309 at toll gate road and a new problem here in new castle county, a disabled tractortrailer here. Its blocking the right lane on i95 southbound at 141, thats exit number five. Construction out here in the left lane and this is going to be out here for about another half hour or so on the turnpike connector westbound between the tolls and 130 here in florence township, burlington county. Other than that, roads are pretty good, no weather related problems so youre all right, matt. Thank you, karen. Police are searching for one more person that was involved in a violent home invasion. They say the first guy was caught walking out of the house after the crime still wearing his mask and gloves. Action News Reporter Katherine Scott is live on the scene in the citys kensington section with the details. Katherine. Reporter matt, a 28yearold man is in custody and police are now searching for another man. As for the three victims here, all three were taken to the hospital. One man appeared to have been stabbed but he was conscious, walking and talking and detectives still have the scene here in kensington closed off as they continue to search for evidence. Officers were called here to the 3100 block of f street around 2 30 this morning. Police say two masked men armed with a knife and a hammer had gone inside a home here. Three people were asleep inside. They ransacked the place. Police say a 26yearold woman was tied to a chair with rope and electrical cord. Police say she still had the rope around her neck when offers arrived. A 36yearold man was tied a bed, his wrists and ankles were bounds with rope and electrical cord. Police say the men forced a third woman in her 40s to drive to kensington and allegheny and withdraw the 100 she had in her account. When they all arrived back home, police say that the woman in her 40s got into a physical confrontation with the two men outside the home. And thats when the female who was kidnapped and robbed got into a physical altercation and started screaming which was great because someone called 911 and thats how police were alerted to this entire incident. It was a person screaming. Reporter so, when police got here they found the two men struggling with the woman. When police went to apprehend the man who had a hammer in his hand he jumped into the victims white honda and tried to flee but two officers got into the car with him and took him into custody. Police say both women were shaken up and again, the man appeared to have been stabbed but was walking and talking. Theres no word on why this home was targeted. Also breaking overnight two men were shot during a robbery in north philadelphia and police say they were hit by the same bullet. It all started on the 3800 block of germantown avenue at 2 oclock this morning. Police say man approached a stopped car with a gun and demanded money. The passenger attempted to grab the gun when he was shot in the hand and then that same bullet struck the driver in the hip. The gunman fled the scene. The man accused in the brutal attack on a homeless woman in Atlantic City in behind bars and the punch that knocked her out cold was all caught on camera. That video went viral on facebook and it helped detectives track down the suspect. They arrested 25yearold iben hunter on aggravated assault charges. The victim was critically injured in the attack. Police say she has regained consciousness in the hospital. This is new on action news. Someone defaced a famous mural of bill cosby in washington, d. C. The mural featuring the philadelphia native was covered up with a picture of north korea leader kim jong un. Dozens of women have come forward recently claiming cosby sexual assaulted them. The comedian who has never been charged with a crime was a long time supporter of bens chili bowl where the mural is located. It has since been fixed. Philadelphia police are offering two separate 20,000 rewards for information in two weekend murders. The first happened saturday night along the 7100 block of greenway avenue in south philadelphia. Police want to know who killed 43yearold terrence blackson. They say he was shot twice in the chest. The second murder also happened saturday night but in the logan section. 30yearold ronald new bee was shot several times as he got out of his car on the 5100 block of mechanic street. Newbie survived a previous gun attack back in august. Anyone with information on either shooting could should Contact Police immediately. Villanova university is adding Armed Police Officers on campus. Officials say they came to the decision after a thorough twoyear process that included community input. About 20 members of the Public Safety department will serve as police officers. They will have access to 911 dispatch and crime data bases and will be able to detain people without permission. Villanova students had mixed reactions. Like other College Campuses so if anything i think it will help people feel safer if theres threats in the future. If you want to go into what kind of atmosphere it will create. It will create a negative one because these people will have guns on campus. Weve never dealt with that before. We really dont need it. As we take a look at the highways and by ways, yeah, theres a little bit of cloud cover trying to sweep down across i80 and central pennsylvania but High Pressure down to the south should knock out a lot of this cloud cover today and we think youre probably going to need your sunglasses fairly handy as we roll through the morning and afternoon. That was well below average but we are turning things around today with that southerly flow around an area of High Pressure down to our south and east and thats going to get us well into the 60s today as you just saw and into the 70s tomorrow and again on thursday. We have pretty light volume out there and although were hearing a lot of people complaining about the weather its not actually that bad. So, mostly sunny skies today thanks to the high and that southerly flow is going to help mild us up today.
