However, north of the pennsylvania turnpike, this is where it will fall all as snow and this is where i expect the highest accumulation of snow. And the super bowl is also at the center of another public concern, a Measles Outbreak that started in california has now spread to arizona which is hosting the big game. This is what a measles rash looks like. Now for me ive actually only seen this in pictures because when i worked in the hospital measles was very, very rare. But now more cases and outbreaks are popping up and Health Officials are urging americans to get the measles vaccine if you have not been vaccinated. Theyre now there are now more than 80 cases of the measles reported in 14 states. Mostly out west. The outbreak is believed to have started in disneyland last month when an unvaccinated family visited the park. Then a woman caught it from them. And doctors are worried she may have exposed nearly 200 children when she visited a clinic in the phoenix arizona area. Officials say 1,000 adults in that region are also being monitored. What theyre being told is to watch for signs and symptoms of measles. Reporter the measles is highly contagious. Its spread through coughing and sneezing but if youve been vaccinated, the risk is very small. If youve been vaccinated against measles and youre exposed to it your chance of getting the disease is 1 percent. If you havent been vaccinated 90 percent. The vaccine really, really works. In fact, those wind chills will go so low in the poconos there are wind chill advisories in the mountains up until 11 oclock tomorrow, wind chills between 10 below 20 below. On monday it ends as snow showers even in those areas that see a mix to the south. Heres the expected snowfall map. The farther south are you it will wash away after it starts as snow. Less than an inch dover to wildwood. Then that line of women to to philadelphia to trenton the pennsylvania turnpike 3 to 6 inches before it mixes with sleet and then north of pennsylvania turnpike its all snow, 6 to 12inches. Well have to fine tune this. Its a very tight gradient. Any movement in the store we could see more or less in some of these areas. A Lehigh Valley man accused of killing his stepdaughter and then abusing her corpse will stand trial. In a surprise move Gregory Robert graph gave up his right to a preliminary hearing. That means graf will head to trial in Northampton County on charges he murdered 33 year old jessica pagent back in november. Pagents body was found at graphs allentown home. Prosecutors say graf shot that mother of three in the back of the head and then abused her body. Grafs Attorney Says he is looking into a Mental Health defense. As jessica pagents family gets closer to justice another local family is praying for that same kind of relief. Back in 2012 someone stabbed a paraplegic man to death inside his home in trenton. Three years later his killer is still on the loose. New jersey correspondent Nora Muchanic talked to his mother about the case gone cold. Reporter her 32 year old son was stabbed to death inside their apartment in january 2012. Melvin acknowledges her son had his troubles. He was paralyzed from the waste down after being shot on the street by a masked man back in 1998. Darlene keeps his ashes and photos of him at a line in her home tortured that her killer is still on the loose and that her son sat helpless in his wheelchair unable to get up to defend himself. He couldnt walk. Why did you have to do that to him like that. Reporter hes one of about a 175 cases being investigated by the Mercer County prosecutors Homicide Task force which works on current and cold cases going back to 1980. As cases get older theyre not forgotten about. I dont particularly care for the terminology of cold case. What i like to do is say an unsolved case. Reporter detectives say as time passes it becomes more difficult to solve cold cases. People wont share information, memories fade but just one lead from the public can crack a cold case wide opened. Might be able to provide the piece of the puzzle thats missing that they may not think is an important piece of the puzzle but ultimately it may abmajor factor. I know that someone knows something. Reporter and thats why Darlene Melvin and homicide investigators are asking anyone with information about akims murder or any other unsolved case to come forward with information so the killers can be captured and the families can have some kind of peace. That will blind you. And also there could be a quick coating on the ground so take it slow if you bump into and see one of these snow squalls heading your way. Temperaturewise take a look. Its 35 right now, 34 just changed, another degree down in philadelphia, 33 in allentown, 29 in reading and 34 in wildwood but again, that doesnt tell the whole story. We have a wind advisory.
