This probable is not amounting to very much, may even dissipate a little bit more by the time it pushes east but down south of dover and pushing into parts of southern Chester County you might see a little bit avenue light snowflake out there this morning. As we take a look at the wide view theres also cloud cover associated with that but clearing on the other side of it and generally speaking we expect any Morning Cloud cover to give way to afternoon sun. Chilly start again. 33 degrees in philadelphia, 33 in millville, 29 in trenton 29 in allentown, 33 in wilmington and 34 down south. Little bit of a breeze coming down out of the northwest and thats knocking that wind chill down into the 20s in most neighborhoods. It feels like its 23 in the city right now. So a coat and maybe some extra gear. As we roll through the day, 33 on your Storm Tracker 6 app right now probably down to about 30 by 8 oclock and then by noon up to 36 and this afternoon is going to be similar to yesterday with a high of 45 degrees. Well probably hit that rather late right in there around 4 oclock. Still holding onto low 40s by 6 oclock. We see traffic moving nicely, eastbound traffic headed towards passyunk with no problems. Near passyunk overnight Construction Since cleared. The tacony palmyra bridge watch out for this because its scheduled to go up went to 4 45 and 5 00 so well be watching this pretty shortly. When that happens head to the betsy ross bridge instead. We have a downed pole from an earlier accident creating a problem in Ewing Township on route 31 pennington road and that road is currently blocked right now at ewingville road to stick to scotch road as your alternate to avoid this downed pole from an earlier accident. Overnight Actress Angelina Jolie revealed shes taken more aggressive action to try to head off cancer. Writing in the New York Times the actress and humanitarian says she recently had surgery. The point of the surgery was to remove her ovaries and fallopian tubes. She says she made the decision because she carries a gene mutation that gave her a 50 percent risk of developing ovarian cancer. Jolie lost her mother grandmother and aunt to these types of cancers. These procedures force a women who menopause. Shell take hormone replacement. She made headlines over her decision to get a double mastectomy. The driver lost control and crashed on greentree road after 1 00 a. M. Leaving the vehicle in just a wreck. Rescuers had to pull the driver and a passenger out of the vehicle. Both were taken to the hospital with multiple injuries. No word on their current conditions. Investigators are still trying to determine what caused that driver to crash. And police are still trying to track down this man who they say held up a gas station in Delaware County and more. A customer at the shell station in upper chichester township tried to chase the bandit down as he drove away yesterday morning. The robber backed up the car and ran that person over, then put it in forward and ran over the man again. The victim is hospitalized. The robber is still at large. A teenaged dirt bike rider is dead and another in the hospital after a headon crash. The dirt bike slammed into an suv on the 7200 block of hawthorne street in philadelphias mayfair section yesterday. A woman riding on the back of the bike was injured. The 19yearold driver was killed during that illegal street ride. Witnesses say they saw the bike speeding even racing up onto the sidewalk. The other driver involved, Kevin Keating said the biker seemed distracted. Didnt see him until the last minute and i dont know if i closed my eyes when the impact happened and i slammed my brakes. I just know he wasnt looking at me. Looked like he was looking back toward cottman avenue. The detectived crash happened days after a crackdown on illegal dirt bikes and atvs in the city. Officials seized nearly 70 vehicles include hemoglobin some that had been stolen. Philadelphia Police Looking for a group of young people who brutally attacked a teen at a septa subway station in center city. Fists and feet flew in the subway seemingly without warning. The teen was hospitalized. Action News Reporter dann cuellar explains what might have led to this attack. Reporter the attack happened on the september the subway northbound platform at broad and locust. A mop of teens some who appear to be laughing swarmed around the 15yearold victim and jumped him. From the video looks like six or seven may have been punching and kicking him. As he fled away from them he slipped. Thats when he started to get kicked can. Reporter police say the assault took place last thursday just before boar 30 and began in the 400 block of south broad. The victim was walking with his friend and two girls when they attracted the mobs attention. Apparently something was said towards the females i believe that sparked something between the complainant and the offenders. Reporter police say the four ran into different directions. The have you can tim ran into the subway and tried to blend in with the rest of the crowd but it didnt work. Commuters were disturbed when i showed them the video. The Justice Department says poor training has left Philadelphia Police officers with the mistaken belief that fear for their lives alone is a justification for deadly force. A new federal report took a closer look at the more than 400 officer involved shootings since 2007. Most of the suspects are black and nearly 100 of them were killed. The report found that there was significant strife and distrust between the police and residents. Police commissioner Charles Ramsey ordered the investigation of the department back in 2013. I doubt this is doing any great number to your roads but if it does start to form into what we would consider more of a snow shower and you see any sort of a coating on roadways i want to you slow down but it doesnt look like its a real big deal. We have a bit more of this crossing the delaware bay into Cape May County and a bit more over in queen anne county maryland which will head down towards milford. This is sweeping in fairly quickly from the west and it may be a little bit down out of the northwest and shouldnt last too much longer. As we take a look outside we got cloudy skies this morning as you would expect with that little feature coming through out to the west and south of philadelphia but once it gets finished were expecting clouds to give way to increased sunshine today. Temperature right now is 33 degrees so like yesterday we are chilly. Winds a little bit stronger out of the north at 15 miles per hour. And we do have wind chills making it feel like its in the low 20s across the region. Satellite shows that you blip of precipitation coming through this morning. Then we do see some drier air out to the north and west of us and again a transition to sunshine today. Does seem likely. 30 degrees by 8 oclock by 11 oclock 34. Well spend the morning in rather chilly territory and then by 2 oclock up to 42 degrees with a high of 45 probably around 4 oclock. Still holding to mid 40s by 5 oclock and more sunshine later today than what were seeing early. High temperatures very similar across the region. Allentown gets up to about 44, cape may 43, everybody else pretty much in the same ballpark. Another cool day. And then High Pressure starts to give way on wednesday and a warm front slowly pushes through the region. Now, this is going to allow us to bump up to about 50 for a high. At the same time there will be a couple showers around in the afternoon. Then we get to thursday and the cold front portion of this system starts to move through and thursday looks a little unsettled. Well have some showers around during the day period but then we get into the nighttime period and there is the chance of the seasons first line of thunderstorms coming through. Dont know that theyll be severe but a rumble of thunder is possible late thursday. Of course it gets mild, too. Still chilly today though with 45 degrees and sun returning as the day goes on. Tomorrow up to 50 town clouds with a couple afternoon showers around. Then look at thursday. The first thing ill point out is the high temperature. Well get up close to 70s degrees. If we hit 70 it will be the first time in months but well be looking through showers as you just saw and sometime in the evening well get that line of thunderstorms coming through. Then behind that system on friday its cooler with a high of just 52. Down to 40 brisk and colder on saturday. Were going to spend most of the time in the 30s and there will be a brisk wind making it feel like winter again and then sunday were back up to 48 and a quick rebound on monday to 54. I love that 54. All right, thank you. Developing right now gun shots rang out near a College Campus in northern tennessee overnight. Police say five people were injured in this shooting. This happened near austin State University in the city of clarksville. Police are still looking for the shooter or the shooters involved here. University officials sent out an alert to students urging them to take precautions but it appears that no one on campus was actually in any danger. No word on whether victims injured were students.
