The shooting happened last night in the 2100 block of Port Richmond. 14yearold frazer was shot multiple times at 9 30 and pronounced dead a short time later at the hospital and a 16yearold was hit by gun fire and survived and is now out of the hospital. Three years ago evan revealed bad headaches but tests did not show problems. They treated him as a migraine sufferer, and she was about to take her son to the doctor for what seemed like a stomach virus and things got worse. Evan stopped talking and walking and just wailing. Doctors determine that evan had had a stroke. That blood vessels in the brain were blocked by bits breaking off from a tiny tumor in their heart. I never would have thought that children had a stroke. After open heart surgery to remove the tumor evan was on the road to recovery. I had to learn how to walk again, and balance. And talk there were hiccups however, including mini strokes probably caused by microscopic blood clots, blood thirns keep the risks under control now but limit some activities. We cant go to water parks or Amusement Rides that are too rigorous are off limits, so are cant sports, but he ran runs track and enjoys pool and bowling with his dad and gearing up for his dream profession. I want to be a veterinarian. Evan is also a regular at local American Heart Association events trying to get the word out for stroke prevention. The signs of stroke in kids and teenagers mostly the same as adults, such as sudden weakness or numbness or vision or speech problems but they can have other symptoms like trouble swallowing and memory loss and sudden difficulty with school work or sudden behavioral changes.
