M. And now say there is no indication stevens is in the city of philadelphia. This morning investigators in eerie, pennsylvania, reported they pinged stevens cell phone. Multiple states including pennsylvania are on high alert. Authorities believe stevens is driving a white ford fusion. This afternoon Cleveland Police announced a growing reward and again asked stevens to turn himself in. Were still employing steve to turn himself in. Definitely to contact a relative or a friend because there are a lot of folks out there that want to talk to him, want to get this resolved peacefully. Reporter and authorities in ohio actually say that they made contact with that fugitive sometime after the murder but have not been able to find him since. Thank you you annie. It was a violent Holiday Weekend in the city of philadelphia. Police now say theyre investigating nearly two dozen separate shooting scenes in the city all since good friday. From early friday morning through today, 27 people were shot in philadelphia, four are dead and now officials are trying to sort out details from 21 different incidents. In the city of brotherly love this Holiday Weekend we saw a horrific eruption and gun violence across town. No arrests so far. Police say only the relatives and friends of victims mourning. I just heard the gunshots and just came outside and he was just laying in front of the door. Reporter relatives of this mornings murder victim from the 600 block of east clementine street try to figure it all out. Why was the 35yearold married man with six children killed on this kensington street around 5 45 this morning. Valentino stuart was his name. Neighbors had this comment to action news. I do know hes a nice guy. His wife, his son always in the house playing with my kids. And its crazy out here. Reporter the victim was shot 15 times in all, five times in the head. Somebody really wanted to hurt my son for nothing. Reporter this was one of two murders overnight in philadelphia. Bringing the number of homicides to 92 so far this year. This killing took place at 62nd and woodland around 2 00 in the morning, the victim a 27yearold man was shot in the back as he was leaving a bar. Sources say he had come here from honduras only two weeks ago. I dont believe this is robbery or revenge. Were not sure what the motive is because the victim still had mon on him. Reporter an hour before that there was a. M. Triple shooting in the 4400 block of whitaker avenue. All three victims are expected to survive. The latest report says there were 27 people shot in philadelphia since 2 00 a. M. Friday morning. Until this afternoon. In 21 separate incidents across town. Powell was pulled over in dover this morning for driving with a suspended license. Once stopped police say they found 5200 bags of heroin marijuana and more than a thousand dollars in cash. Powell was arrested and will be charged with five counts of drug possession. Police released Surveillance Video showing two robbers stealing crash a popeyes in philadelphia. The robbery happened last thursday night at the fast food chain in the 3100 block of west cheltenham avenue in cedarbrook. The male suspects jumped over the counter pointed guns at the employees and demanded money. They got off with more than 1,300. Three people including a toddler are rushed to the hospital after a headon crash in bucks county. But first here this evening we continue to follow developments in the nationwide search for the socalled facebook killer, suspect Steve Stevens. Weve been telling you that a flurry of tip calls phoned into Philadelphia Police placed a car matching the one that stevens was driving at the belmont plateau earlier today. Our action news drone live over that plateau right now. The Police Activity is over now it end the about 12 45 this afternoon but more than a dozen cruisers motorcycle units and trucks searched and converged on that area. Action news learned that investigators got several calls about a white ford vehicle with temporary ohio plates. As a result more than two dozen schools in the area were locked down. Much more on todays search coming up in our next half hour tonight. Now to the latest in the trial of accused killer eric frein. Today the surviving Pennsylvania State trooper took the stand to describe the frightening moments of that deadly siege. Action News Reporter john rawlins spent the day in the courtroom. He joins us live from milford with more. John. Reporter hi, monica. Well, this is the first time we heard from trooper Alex Douglass in public. He was very matter of fact on the stand today. He took the stand at about 4 15 this afternoon. For most of his testimony, certainly as far as the night that this all happened that would have been in september of 2014, he said he had just arrived to work, he is actually still talking on his cell phone to his girlfriend telling her he had just gotten to work and everything was just finally he later, however, broke down on the stand this afternoon as he talked about the lingering pain and the involved medical complications that he has suffered in the meantime t he was shot in the pelvis with a high powered rifle and he has had 18 major surgeries so far and there could be more. Trooper Alex Douglass still walks with a pronounced limp from being ambushed by a sniper on september 12th, 2014. On the stand he told after having arrived to start his shift at the emergency rooming grove barracks tonight he heard first a loud bang. He said it sounded like a fire work. Then heard a. M. Loud scream coming from the front of the building. He went there and saw someone down on the pavement. He told the jury he removed his side arm moving closer he recognized the person down was Corporal Bryan dickson. Douglass knelt down to assist when he said it felt as if he had been slammed in the back with a baseball bat. He told the jury he got to the door pulled himself inside and realized some coward or cowards were shooting from across the street. Douglass talked about how other troopers pulled him to safety and how he felt himself slipping into shock, he couldnt feel his legs, he was sweating and was hot. Corporal dixon died that evening. Douglass survived. The prosecution says the coward who shot him that day was eric frein. Frein showed no emotion as douglass testified. Douglass on the stand again today for about 45 minutes here at the pike county courthouse in milford. There was no crossexamination by the defense. The jury has now for days been hearing from expert witnesses from the prosecution who are putting in key stuff that ties frein allegedly to this crime. Its pretty dry and technical but with todays almost with the end of the prosecution case coming up in the next day or so douglass brought an emotional element into this courtroom. This the scene near the unit block of south penwal drive. That teen was that rushed to the hospital and is expected to recover. Its not clear if he was the intended target. A Court Hearing was held today in Chester County for Gary Lee Fellenbaum the suspect in the torture killing of a little threeyearold boy. Fellenbaum allegedly beat Scotty Mcmillan in 2014 with help from that the childs mom julian tate. The boy was that found unresponsive in tates west caln township home and later was pronounced dead. Tate is fellenbaums exboyfriend. She has accept add plea deal to avoid the death penalty. Three people including a threeyearold child suffered serious. A headon crash in bucks county. It happened in front of the Woodcrest Apartments on lincoln highway at falls township. Authorities say both drivers were trapped in their cars. It took about 30 minutes to cut them free. They were rushed to Saint Marys Hospital in critical condition. It is not clear right now just what led up to that crash. Fire tore through a south Philadelphia Row home this morning. Chopper6 was over the 700 block of christian street about 9 00 a. M. Firefighters had ladders against the front and back of that home to assess the damage. Everyone inside did manage to get outside. The cause is still under investigation. The Trump Administration is ratcheting up its rhetoric on north korea today. Vice president mike pence is in the region. Today they fired artillery rounds in western mosul where theyre battling Islamic State fighters. Officials say theyre making direct strikes as well as making craters in roads to stop suicide bar dabombs. Nearly a half million civilians have fled mosul since the wide scale military operation began last october. United airlines has made a policy change following the outrage after that passenger was dragged off their plane. The airline now says passengers boarding will no longer be removed. The airline says they require crews traveling on their aircraft to be booked at least 60 minutes prior to any departure and if a passenger needs to be bumped in the future to make room it will now happen at the gate. Since this video of a man being dragged off a flight after refusing to give up his seat surfaced more united passengers have also come forward. If we had refused to get up, that would have been us. They told us we will drag you off. American airlines is following united saying it will no longer ask passengers already on board to give up their seats and deltas now authorized to offer nearly 10,000 up from 1,300 for folks who voluntarily give up their seats on overbooked flights. So temperatures running about 5 degrees above normal but compared to yesterday, were 10 to 20 degrees cooler than this time yesterday. Philadelphia yesterday hit a high of 87 were. Felt more like the fourth of july than easter. But things are cooling off thanks to this front. Satellite6 and action radar slowing this is the front that brought us light scattered showers earlier today. Its kind of pushed down the 80s. Down to the south over the carolinas. Then theyll stay there for the next two days. Tonight High Pressure building in will clear our skies out. Its going to be a lot cooler than last night, 43 in suburbs, about 49 for center city with winds out of the north five to 10 miles per hour. And tomorrow nicest day of the week as far as sky conditions. Loads of sunshine, center city it will be seasonable, couple degrees above normal, 67 degrees. If youre in Lehigh Valley and allentown, plenty of sunshine, mostly sunny, 66. Down the shore, though, before you think about it, its going to be a nice beach day. We will have an onshore flow so that means its going to be a lot cooler right along the coast, temperatures only in the upper 50s. That will pull more clouds in. 8 oclock in the morning some sunshine but then later in the day the clouds roll in, a few scattered showers, a better chance of some showers on thursday night, perhaps even some thunderstorms. And fire causes extensive damage to a Delaware County church. But the big story on action news tonight is the nationwide search for the facebook killer and for a time today ground zero was philadelphias Fairmount Park. Police scoured the area around belmont plateau looking for 37yearold Steve Stevens, the person wanted for the murder of a 74yearold man in cleveland yesterday and for then posting video of the killing on facebook. Philadelphia police got tips that stevens was seen in Fairmount Park. And thats are action News Reporter Sarah Bloomquist is live. Sarah, what happened there today . Reporter jim, let me just start by saying Philadelphia Police say there is no indication that Steve Stevens is here in Fairmount Park or in the city of philadelphia at all. This afternoon officers did that respond to multiple 911 calls reporting sightings of the wanted man right here on the belmont plateau. They converged on the area. They took those reports very seriously and shut down 30 schools while the search was that under way. In the air and on the ground, Philadelphia Police searched Fairmount Park this afternoon. Shortly after 12 30, they received multiple 911 calls that the cleveland man who shot an innocent senior
