Just hours ago they announced that they are searching for this man rodney shelton. Police say shelton killed Thomas Childs last june 9th. Childs was shot on a loading dock at Ridgeway Industries in yeadon. Police think the motive was robbery. The District Attorney thinks shelton is hiding out somewhere in either North Carolina or georgia but he does have family in this area. Meantime investigators have also identified the suspect wanted for the killing of a 78yearold man in southwest philadelphia. Investigators in that case are looking for quintis clark. They say the 18yearold killed joseph daly last week. Daly was found tuesday murdered in his home in the 6300 block of theodore street. Police say when they arrived at the home the back window was broken and dalys van was missing. Police found that van days later at griscom and oxford avenue. If you know where clark splease call police. An investigation is under way tonight after a home exploded and injured two people in new jersey. I just left the relay for life event over at our high school and it shook the ground which is about a mile awayism amazingly only two people were injured. One victim identified as 36yearold clay metzger suffered serious burns and remains in critical but stable condition at Lehigh Valley hospital. A neighbor who didnt want to be identified says it was obvious right away that metzger was badly injured. The neighbor was spraying a hose on him because his skin was it was coming off. He was it was so bad. Reporter the other Person Injured suffered a laceration to the face but that victim is expected to fully recover. Meanwhile the question that lingers is, how did this happen. We have a specialist here from elizabethtown gas, pardon me, in georgia and we also have our detectives sifting through the rubble to find the cause. Weve got some of those fair weather cumulus beginning to pop up but if you look over southern delaware you can see some very thick clouds trying to stream from the north and this is from Tropical Storm colin. This is the latest infrared satellite and you can see that this is a really lopsided storm. All of the convection, all the thunderstorms are east of the center. So, its not a very strong system, maximum sustained winds 50 Miles Per Hour but it is on the verge of making landfall near big bend florida and its moving very quickly northnortheast at 23 Miles Per Hour. The big problem with colin across florida, georgia and parts of the carolinas will be the potential for some very heavy rain. Three to 5inches of rain, up to 8inches in some localities but you can see with the track how this is not going to be affecting our weather. Well have a cold front move through tomorrow afternoon and that will essentially kick colin out to sea. So, weve got pretty quiet conditions tonight. Philadelphia city council may give the goahead to the Police Department to issue swift justice for nuisance crimes during the Democratic National Convention Next month. The legislation will allow officers to land out 100dollar civil fines instead of making arrests for minor infractions. The Victim Told Police the person walked up to him and hit him with a gun. The suspect then ran away without taking anything. The homeowner was taken to the hospital for treatment. From our delaware news room tonight, Wilmington Police took a suspected bank robber into custody after the man allegedly targeted the Artisans Bank on kirkwood highway. Authorities tell action news that workers at the pnc bank across the street saw the robbery unfold and called 911. As you can see the man was taken into custody a short time later right there. Detectives have not released the suspects name or what charges he will be facing. Authorities in bucks county have identified the suspected robber who was shot and can killed while allegedly trying to rob a levittown pharmacy on friday. He was 33yearold willie bozarth of sewell new jersey. He was kill when the own are of pennsbury pharmacy opened fire to protect himself. The owner saw the man coming because of his stores surveillance cameras. His alleged accomplice Kim Goldsboro was arrested at the scene. That means a whole bunch of traffic is going to be funneled down into just one lane. Then theyll work on the westbound schuylkill from about 1 00 a. M. To 5 00 a. M. So, as much as you can during the overnight hours stay local through the city or over on 95. The vine will be out of commission and the schuylkill will be jammed with that construction.
