It is friday night and the big story on action news tonight is breaking news from Center City Philadelphia a duck boat has struck and killed a pedestrian at 10th and arch streets. Dann cuellar is there. Reporter well its a horrific scene here at 10 and and arch, police had to use a yellow tarp to cover the body of the pedestrian that remains underneath the duck boat which is full of tourists they have been told to stay put as accident investigators are asked to gather eyewitness accounts of what happened. This happened around 5 30, the duck boat was traveling west on arch when it struck the pedestrian here at 10th unclear if the driver failed to see the pedestrian or if the pedestrian darted out suddenly. The area is cordoned off by police and that has created a traffic nightmare here in center city in the middle of rush hour. It was back in 2010 when we had a serious accident involving a duck boat, one was in the Delaware River when it was struck by a barge, two hungarian tourists were killed in that accident.
