This time at the university of maryland, a kappa sigma member accused of sending a vulgar email last year, writing that black and asian women should not be invited to rush parties unless theyre hot, and saying consent for sex is unnecessary. I was just overall disgusted completely. I feel like it definitely does not reflect the values of the university of maryland. Reporter the kappa sigma chapter suspended the member who wrote the email. Black students marching at the university of washington in seattle say when they pass the house, they were hit with racist insults. These accusations days after two sigma alpha members were accused of leading a racist chant in this viral video, the whole chapter now disbanded. In maryland tonight, students are calling for a swift and strong response so racist remarks at their school. The universitys president calls the email reprehensible and says as part of the investigation they have spoken with the student alleged to have sent it.
