A year ago we showed you the John Marshall Football Team boarding a charter bus for a 1. 7 at the time the football field behind marshall was torn up and unplayable. The buses were used despite a perfectly good field behind garfield elementary. Sources estimated the cost at 700 a day. Things have changed and now theres grass at the field behind marshall. A year ago the district believed there was asphalt beneath the grass. It was used as a parking lot during the rebuilding. We were there as the backhoe dug the asphalt out. A pile of the gate until a few weeks ago. Now that there is grass on the field, what do we see regarding busing this year . You got it. Charter buses, two parked at the rear of marshall as school let out to bus the Football Team. The only thing that changed was the bus line. This year brt out of akron got the job. The new cost is 800 a day. One bus loaded kids from marchle students and traveleded to mow heek can for practice. Like last year, the process reversed itself. How does practice typically begin . Some form of runs and sprints depending on a sport, lots of laps if you drop a pass. Wouldnt it kill two birds with one stone if they jogged down west 140th to the Elementary School where they praped to mr. Years . One reason the district says was the size of the athletes and theiar at the time found yellow buses took Football Players to every game we checked. Lets talk about Public Square this will start tonight or this afternoon around noon this will kick off here with the oktoberfest in downtown. All at the square. I dont hear of closures at the roadways, but theres a lot of traffic coming in towards ontario towards Public Square and also superior. Look for prospect, all these areas surrounding pub square to build up with traffic. Plan your route ahead of time and good idea to plan your parking ahead of time as well.
