When i insisted on taking her in and her pediatrician did a simple urine test which shows glucose in the urine on the spot, diagnosed her with type i diabetic he said go straight to rainbow and they will have a room waiting for you. Denise this is manageable. What does she have to do . I think we have video of her treating herself. It is manageable, it is a take vacations. In the beginning we were doing multiple daily injections. She would take insulin four to six times a day. Now she is on an insulin pump and she changes her insulin pump every three days, continuous coast monitor which she changes every seven days and does her finger sticks 10 to 12 times a day.
