Kenneth gren was killed in 2010 at a home and the detectives arrested greens wife denise and another man, anthony herds. The police say the duo were having an affair at the time. All three were working for goodyear. The state troopers are looking for the motorist in a deadly hit and run crash. And Matthew Phillips died friday after being hit by a found in the driveway of a neighbors home. The state troopers are asking anyone with information about the driver who left the scene or about the crash itself to give them a call. She wants to get the parasite tested by the health department. The police in norfolk, virginia are investigating an officerinvolved shooting that left one woman dead. It all began when the officers spotted a fight outside of a restaurant between the 24year old woman and a man. Out a gun and threatened the man. Two officers approached her, asked her to stop and then they shot her. The weapon recovereds with a nonfiring replica handgun. It is a story that the family says they cannot believe. She would not do it. She was afraid of the police. She would not take that chance. What happened, what transpired from then to her being shot . The two Police Officers involved are narcotics officers and both are an administrative duty. A nonprofit in North Carolina is helping the veterans deal with combat trauma through tattoo therapy. It works with tattoo artists to provide free tattoos to veterans, especially those suffering from post Traumatic Stress disorder or anxiety. The Charity Organizer says connecting with a fellow veteran who was also a tattoo artist helped him. And i realized that getting the take toot tattoo and having the conversation with another veteran while im therapeutic for me and i realized if it worked for me, then it would work for others. Ill have your complete forecast coming up in a few minutes. Cbs North Carolina has new information about the Raleigh Police shooting death of the suspect. A bullet hole found friday in a home near the shooting is not connected to the incident. Cbs North Carolinas amy cutler spoke with the familys attorney and she also has more from the Raleigh Police Attorney Says that they appreciate that authorities took the time and looked into this, but they tell me this is just one part of their still ongoing, independent investigation. The attorneys representing the family said they found new evidence, a possible bullet hole near where the 24yearold was shot and killed by police. Authorities responded and saturday we learned the results. In a statement wake County District attorney Lauren Freeman sod after examination investigators concluded the evidence tended to show the hole was not related to this incident. We were grateful that they responded so quickly, and it appeared to me that they looked very carefully at that hole from the outside, and they went inside which is something that we had not had the opportunity. Reporter scott holmes is one of the attorneys working on an independent investigation of the death. The fbi and Raleigh Police are also conducting investigations. But the family and community their findings so far. Theres some really significant contradictions between what witnesses have said, the physical evidence at the scene, the shootings, the trajectories at the scene on the back porch, and the wounds to the body. Reporter holmes says their independent autopsy shows he was shot in the back. According to the initial police report, he was shot four times in the chest, shoulder and both arms. But the District Attorney has declined to say whether the shots were to the important or back body. We havent seen that independent autopsy. Why is that . Well, it would be important to have the medical examiners report to look at and compare with forensic analysis that we did. Reporter holmes says that the medical examiner had more access to information. It has been nearly three weeks since this shooting and he stressed the family and this Community Just wants answers. In raleigh, im amy cutler, right now more county Officials Say they need the publics help finding a missing woman. According to the aberdeen times, 32yearold Jessica Galloway was last seen on march 10th in the Southern Pines area. Jessica galloway is a white female with brown hair and brown eyes. She drive as black 2008 acura with n. C. Plate numbers c. Mx9494. Anyone with information on her whereabouts should call police. Family and friends of two men who died at the Durham County jail held a vigil saturday. It is the second time this month the group has gathered near the jail. But as cbs North Carolinas reports, this event was much different than thlast. All that could be heard was the sound of footsteps and music. Were trying to show people, the community, that matthew and dennis and the other people inside the jail are actually people. And a volunteer for inside outside alliance, the group people in jail and their families, and he tells me he knows what it is like to have a Family Member behind bars. He tells me his father was incarcerated for most of his life. He tells me people behind bars may have made a mistake, but theyre still human. They marched hoping to breakdown the criminal stereotypes of both Dennis Mcmurray and matthew mccain, the two men who died inside of the jail. He is our goof ball. Very loving. He loved his fame, his kids. He is missed. Reporter Ashley Kennedy led the march. Kennedy is the girlfriend of matthew mccain. He died in jail back in january, and for the entire march, she held his daughter against her chest, the daughter he never got to meet. The marchers met the mother at the jail, the same spot of the protest, but this one was completely different. He is not forgotten. Reporter rather than blocking the streets, the group balloons into the air, asking for justice for both mccain and mcmurray who they say were neglected. According to the Durham County Sheriffs Office they say the cause of death was determined to be a Drug Overdose. As far as mccains case, the Sheriffs Office has released a statement. They say we are investigating as we have done so in previous cases. We want to provide the team with answers as soon as possible, however, thorough and complete investigations require time to produce credible answers, and or thoughts and prayers go out to the family. Twice a year the soldiers must take the armys physical fitness test and to get an idea of what it takes, nate rodgers joined fort bring soldiers for the exam. Reporter they risk their lives to protect and serve our country. They sacrifice family time and special occasions in order to do the work of a hero. They also train very hard. Physical fitness is Second Nature for soldiers. Many of them work out not once, but twice a day. Tell me about your training. How do you prepare for this . P. T. Every day. Reporter testing begins promptly at oh 600. The first roll call. And then a demonstration on how on this day the temperatures we were freezing. It does take a lot.
