Hes been robbing and attacking elderly people in brooklyn since march 2nd. The latest victim of the alleged suspect is an 83yearold woman. You see her there. Erin van shind he will. She was still swollen and bruised. That man spoke to her on saturday. Pistol whipped her and tried to take something. But nothing was taken in that incident. The nypd says other elderly victims have been robbed of hundreds of dollars that were with a box cutter and some targets. Again, eight people have been attacked as a result of this. In the bronx, waiting on police to tell us why a driver jumped a curb in fordham heights. Yesterday the driver hit five pedestrians in front of a jewelry store. All of the injuries are minor. The car also hit a building. Charges are pending. But police took the driver in for having a suspended license. In the bronx, police are searching for a hit and run driver who left a teen fighting for his life. Witnesses saw a car speeding down union avenue yesterday. Then they saw the 17yearold boys body thrown into the air as he was hit. Police say the car kept driving and didnt stop until it crashed into a semi truck. Thats when the driver ditched the car and took off running. I saw the car crash. I was like wow, he was bleeding from the head. The teen is at Lincoln Hospital with severe head and body trauma. In many of the instances, its happened right at their front door. As you mentioned, these new and clear images of the alleged suspect came into our newsroom just a few hours ago. Attack and robbery of an elderly victim. The latest victim of the alleged suspect, this woman here, an 83yearold woman. You can see there she was still swollen and bruised. She was completely shaken up when she told us how a suspect followed her into her apartment here on kensington saturday, then pistol whipped her. Nothing was taken in that instance. But other elderly victims have been robbed of hundreds of dollars and in many instances, they were taken at gunpoint, knifepoint or even people threatened by a box cutter. Police want you to take a good look at that image and contact them if you recognize who that could be. Federal agents make an arrest during a raid at a synthetic marijuana lab that was hidden in a queens tire shop. Agents stormed that tire shop in Queens Village on tuesday. According to the latest updates from governor cuomo, lawmakers are trying to hammer out a deal that would increase the minimum wage in new york city to 15 an hour within three years. The proposal is said to include for the middle class over five years. It could also cut medicaid for the city by hundreds of millions of dollars. The new budget deal could cost hundreds of state employees their jobs. The exact number of layoffs is unclear. But the first pink slips are expected to go out in two weeks. Even with the new budget agreement, connecticut faces a deficit of up to 900 million in the fiscal year starting july 1st. Connecticut Governor Dannel Malloy is hoping to attract North Carolina businesses angry over the new lgbt law. That was the scene of his latest attack on an elderly woman here. The latest one since march 2nd. The latest victim of that suspect, she was 83 years old. She told us how that man followed her into her apartment in kensington on saturday. He pistol whipped her. He didnt take anything on that one, but others have had taken from them hundreds of dollars. In the bronx, the driver who ran over a teenager and kept going is still on the run. Witnesses saw a car speeding down the street. They saw the boys body thrown in the air as he was hit. She was still swollen and bruised after telling us she was pistol whipped in her apartment here in kensington last saturday. In Nassau County high school is trying to calm parents fears following the arrest of a Security Guard. Katherine creag is outside osevelt high school to tell us what that guard is accused of doing. Kat . Reporter darlene the most private of places. A bathroom. A teenager was videotaped at the high school. As you said, a Security Guard, this is where he was arrested his name is daniel williams. Hes accused of videotaping a 16yearold boy while the child was using a bathroom here at the high school. Investigators say williams posted the footage on snap chat. Police say he set sent that video to someone. Williams was arrested immediately. The defendant did go into the bathroom and followed the student in. He was able to videotape the student in the stall using the facilities. Reporter and the 24yearold williams is still employed by the school while the investigation goes on. Hes not allowed on school property. He faces charges, including unlawful surveillance and endangering the welfare of a child. Governor cuomo says theyre working on a budget plan to increase the minimum wage to 15 current proposal set to include a billion dollars in tax relief for middle class workers over five years. Governor also proposing to cut hundreds of millions of dollars, though, in medicaid for the city. Meanwhile, a new budget deal reached in connecticut that will lead to layoffs. Exact number, unclear at this point. As many as 1900 state jobs may get cut. The first pink slips expected to go out in two weeks. Even with the new agreement, state faces a deficit of 900 million in the fiscal year. That begins on july 1st. Newarks Police Department is making sweeping changes to how it keeps the city safe. They announced major reforms yesterday. Those reforms include adding body cameras for officers and training officers in how to deescalate situations instead of using force. It comes after a Justice Department investigation. Among the findings, officers routinely use Excessive Force and stop people on the street without cause. Two National Cancer funds this was according to the federal government. Federal trade Commission Said four charities run by james reynolds, sr. , bilked more than 187 million from donors. Charges against his father were dropped. Mosquitoes that can spread the zika virus are more spread out than previously thought.
