Bring her into the house and asked her, and we told her to call her parents. Then we called the cops. This was a potentially very serious accident, but fortunately no one tourists heard a loud crack from above as they walked near 1 World Trade Center. I heard the sound, like a boom, and i look up. The crane hit that part. Reporter what they saw was this. A thick piece of glass cracked on the 12th floor of 3 World Trade Center. Firefighters say strong winds forced a part of the crane, called the ball and hook, to swing into the building just as workers were trying to secure it. Caught a gust of wind, and it floor and hit a window. Reporter luckily no one was hurt. The building isnt occupied. Construction company tishman tells us, quote, nothing fell or is in danger of falling. Safety inspectors and authorities are on site and looking into the incident. And you may remember back in february, we had a very similar crane accident not far from here. That accident took one life and injured three others.
