Shaheen says the Sexual Assault survivor told her that she wasnt told of her Legal Options after reporting the assault and that she still has to fight to make sure her rape kit is not destroyed. Victims will at least know what their options their choices are and what they are facing and give them really that empowerment. Tom president obama signed the bill into law today. It guarantees the right to have evidence preserved and bans fees for forensic examinations for anyone reporting a Sexual Assault.
