We are getting a clear picture of how bad the drug prices has become in New Hampshire. New numbers released by the state show this could be the nearly 300 deaths already. The regional director for American Medical Response has New Hampshire is on pace to set problem not heroin but felt no fentanyl. There have been 295 confirmed deaths so far this year connected to or drugs to opioids. 183 of those involved fentanyl. 60 involve hair. There are many other people that have overdosed but survived. Emergency responders say it is a dangerous situation. There s no Quality Control at the heroin factory. They put anything in they can. They add that along with heroin. Ray First Responders also say they re having to use more of the drug narcan to revive overdosed patients. A sign that the drugs are becoming more pure. There is still another 80 suspected Drug Overdose deaths that are awaiting toxicology reports. We still have another month left in the year. Disturbing end of the year statistics are highlighting just how bad the drug crisis has become in our state. Ray brewer joins us live in reports. Ray the news from those reports is grim. The regional director from the American Medical Response says New Hampshire is projected to set a record this year for drugrelated deaths. State medical examiner says there have been 295 deaths connected to opioids in 2015. But the projected number of drugrelated deaths for this year is expected to hit 357. Once some suspected overdose cases are confirmed. That is 31 more fatal Drug Overdoses then the 326 cases confirmed in 2014. A significant increase. A very, very large increase in not only the number of heroin overdoses but deaths as well. Ray 183 fatal overdoses this year involved fentanyl. 135 deaths were exhibited to fentanyl alone while 31 were attributed to fentanyl being there is no Quality Control. They put anything in it they can. As has been said before, fentanyl is easy to make. It does not need to be cultivated and they add that along with heroin. Ray the stage larger cities have been hit hard. For november, between nashua in manchester we had 101 fatalities that we can attribute to opioids overdose. The disturbing part is the amount of narcan we have to give these patients is increasing which means that the heroin or whatever it is mixed with is becoming more pure. This morning, the state fire marshal s office will join the investigation into what caused a five alarm fire in bedford yesterday. Fire burned through the roof of burling terrace. Five adults and two kids were displaced. Firefighters say the closest hydrant was a mile away. About a dozen fire departents were called into shuttle in water. Investigators say they cannot enter the house until it is deemed structurally safe. We ve had a couple of building, interior building collapse.
