A hooksett man accused of leading police on a chase last night is due in court today. Diagnosed with a condition called hip dyspladysplasia, alsn as dds, my drr said i probably today, every baby is tested for ddh. Hip displaz yaysplasia is on more common things babies are born with. Theres awareness and discussion on it. Its treatable. Reporter some newborns are at a high erisk. Like those with a history of ddh or babies born breech, or with a program. 1yearold emily was diagnosed at birth. The doctor were checking her legs. Just routine screening and felt like one of the legs he was able to pop it out of the socket. They described it as a shallow hip socket. Reporter she was given a pavlic harness at two days old and wore it for two months. Shes gt a clean bill of health. Its not expected shell have any hindrances at life. And dr. Jen ashton is joining us now. Parents should be clear on this. This is part of normal routine newborn screening. Jus because a woman has a baby in the breech position doesnt blooes have this. Its just more common. We normally pick it up at birth. I spoke to a patient who had this. Had both hips replaced. She remembers being in kindergarten and not being able to put her knees down when sitting krocrosslegged. I will say during recovery, i have found there are days, less and less thankfully, the might have been counterintuitive. And i know. Youve done so well. Its a testament to the fact that joint replacement surgery is better than ever. Joints dont last forever. Its important to follow the recommendations at the they give you as much as possible. Grief counselors will be on hand at nashua high north today to help students cope with the the Merrimack River in massachusetts yesterday appears to be that of 16yearold boy jacob goulet. He was reported missing on friday, after police say he was swept into a storm drain in nashua. That was during the heavy rains. Based on the clothing description, Nashua Police believe the body pulled from the Merrimack River is goulets, but an autopsy will make the final determination. Laconia police say they are investigating a possible kidnapping. They say someone reported seeing a female being dragged by her hair into an suv, while the incident happened just before midnight on cottage street.
