Those sirens are something john derrick and his friends appreciate. On wednesday they were out on the saluda river and took notice to the higher water levels. In the back of our minds were always taking precautions. We never boat alone, were always wearing our life jacket and helmet and we take as many safety precautions as possible. In a statement from sce g they said that they will be opening one spill gate. Releasing up to an additional 18,000 cubic feet per second inflow. And say that residents will take notice to lake levels continuing to rise, but they will not exceed the 360 licensed operating level. Meaning the level set by the federal emergency regulation commission. Jones says for people concerned about the sirens.
