Reporter they got a report and when they showed up they found two victims shot. The suspects had fled the scene. The one victim shot died here on the scene. The other taken to the hospital, dying hours later. Sources tell us this happened on the 8th floor at the archer apartments. The considerable amount of dope that was found was inside the apartment. I talked to a few people who live there too. They said they had no idea anything was going on. Its pretty quiet for the most part. It kind of surprised me there would be alleged incidents of crime one floor above where i live. Sources tell us theyre trying to determine the exact theyre continuing their investigation. Flights have been canceled in washington, baltimore, and new york. Cleveland hopkins airport now, while most of the flights are on schedule this morning, several flights have been tomorrow. Holly, youve been tracking this storm for days. Right its been very consistent in the plans too. Im starting off with a regional view so you get a perspective of how quiet it is around here. As we expand, here is the winter storm. We have numerous tornado watches that have been posted this morning. Severe weather a real issue. Weve got warnings galore. Everything from winter storm watches and warnings to blizzard warnings to freezing rain. Its really just a mess. Were expecting things to worsen throughout the course of the day, which is why were at hopkins, keeping a close eye on travel plans there. You all know, even though were not dealing with it directly, the indirect implications, a lot of these cities are major connection cities for airlines that fly out of hopkins. If youre flying out of places like charlotte, for example, theyre expecting almost 8 inches of snow. The bulls eye is washington, dc, another huge, huge city. You know, as far as traveling through, over 35 inches of snow possible in that area. Needless to say, you know, were going to continue to watch real closely. Philadelphia is another big one with over 22 inches of snow. Lighter amounts, new york really going to be kind of just sitting cozy watching this on our couches through the weekend and with the exception of a few flurries, very quiet weather is expected around here. This is going to be a mid atlantic storm and one that i think will definitely go down in history by the look of things. Thanks, holly. Instead of a date with a woman he met online, an akron man gets robbed at gunpoint. One of the suspects is under arrest this morning. Kristin roughen is charged with aggravated robbery. He went to meet his date sunday night. Instead the four robbers ambushed him and stole cash, drugs, and a credit card. Akron police are still trying to i have to other three suspects. A local woman was a victim of a tax related scam. This morning she wants others to be on alert. Scammers are often after your identity. It makes me feel scared Social Security number, he can do anything. Its scary. It is really scary. This is the first time Something Like this has ever happened to me. And you know i dont know what else hes done with my Social Security number. I just hope they catch him. Another way they get you is by posing as an irs agent and they often threaten to call police if you hang up. Remember to never give any personal information over the phone. A twocar crash ended with one person dead and one person taken to the hospital. The accident happened when a car crashed into another vehicle that was pulled off to the side of the road. A passenger was killed. The accident is still under investigation. A group that wants to save lakewood hospital is not giving up yet. An energy that is now in overtime. Voters in november rejected a ballot issue that would require a public vote before they closed the hospital. The group has another plan. Theyre submitting a petition to add on the march ballot. Heres all of the warnings that are in place. Its almost ridiculous to try to name every single one of them because there are so many. And this will be the story throughout the day. You will be hearing all about it on the today show. Youre going to really be hearing about the impact for the midatlantic, especially. It looks like thats going to charleston. For the first time this morning, were starting to see some flakes here. Just in the last few minutes once it starts in earnest, were not expecting the snow to end until sometime late saturday night. Theyre expecting record snowfalls across the region. The National Guard is already called in. 500 troops on the ground here. A state of emergency declared by the governor yesterday. 500 vehicles out trying to prepare the roadways across the region. Theyre warning, if you dont need to be out once this snow really starts to fall, stay indoors. They expect it to be brutal. The National Weather service has called for blizzard and whiteout conditions for the next day or so. They expect very intense winds. Perhaps as much as 50 Miles Per Hour at the peak of this storm. We know that every state Police Officer is on call and ready to move as well. They can. Emergency management on the they expect 30 inches of snow or more. Generally across the region, they expect a foot to two feet. Could be crippling. Thats a word that the Weather Service is using. Folks here doing what they can to prepare, making sure that they have progressives that will last for a full week with a fear that power is going to be lost during this storm. We know that power crews have already staged across the region as well. The snow is starting to fall here. Its going to continue. Its shaping up to be what looks like a very rough weekend. Well, in other parts of the country, theyre going to feel this too. I saw some 3,000 flights were already preemptively canceled. Domino effect. Reporter yes. Youre absolutely right.
