There are reports that rio authorities have recommended lochte and another u. S. Swimmer face charges for false Surveillance Video shows lochte and three other swimmers at a gas station in rio while the swimmers said they were robbed at gunpoint, their story is being disputed. Law enforcement officers say security guards pointed guns at the swimmers after they vandalized the bathroom. They paid an unknown amount of money for the damage. The video shows three of the swimmers sitting on the ground with their hands in the air. Obviously, chris, this is a story, i mean, we were talking about it right away at the top of the 5 00, into the now at 7 00, everyone is talking about it all over the country. This is a black eye for lochte. We have to see how it plays out but it wont help him in the future as far as endorsements. He is a brand and he needs to manage his brand. Its going through some tough times. Its salvageable but he needs to get out in front of this and observe it and throw everything on the table. Yeah. The three men pleaded guilty today to the armed robberies last year. One of their victims was a priest. Remember this . Catholic church. He and the other victims gave emotional statements about how the crimes have changed their lives. So a lot of the artists i talk to who are here now said they only came to cleveland because of that festival thats also in columbus. But if you take a look here you can see some of the art on the stands. You can also see, um, a lot of the other tents that are set up, as well. Now, one thing i do want you guys to know is, it does open tomorrow. Its open tomorrow from 11 a. M. To 10 p. M. And then also on saturday from 11 a. M. To 10 p. M. Then sunday they are going to be here from 11 a. M. From what im told the prices are reasonable. You can get stuff as low as 5 bucks but all the way up to the thousands if you are interested, mr. Tye. Im not in the Art Collection business but, you know, its great folks who might not have been yet to the eastbank this summer to see all the restaurants and bars and stuff thats opened up its a great opportunity to kill two birds with one stone. To target gun violence in this country in a unique way. Tell us what your goal is and remember i was watching the news and, um, the news of another mass shooting, uhm, came up in front of me and i remember thinking, oh, its just another mass shooting. And moving on. And i remember later on, um, remembering and being so angry in a i so angry at myself that i had let myself be so complacent about americans dying so that moment drives me forward. People kind of conflate sandy hook and then we have san have chardon. So youre not alone. So a lot of people are probably in that kind of situation. What exactly are you doing about it . What will this group do . We founded students united against gun violence in june after the mass shooting at the pulse club in orlando, florida and were working to engage in the National Dialogue on gun violence and how do you do that . Yeah, so were um, going to be advocating for universal sales and also closing something called the terror gap which is a gap where people on the terror watch list can purchase still purchase firearms. How do you push for that . So theres various ways. Theres writing your senators. Theres going to, you know, washington, dc to lobby on these issues. Nationally, um, theres a lot of organizations that that do that. But not necessary youth doing that or if they involve youth it other young people and thats what were all about. So you think the age, your age, and the age of your peer group, may be kind of accumulate some volume that other folks in middle age cannot . Completely. I think youth are disproportionately affected by gun violence in the United States. And, you know, growing up at shaker, i always had to think about where in my classroom would i escape, um, if there was a mass shooter and thats a pretty morbid way to go to this, maybe some teenagers are watching it some parents, if they want to plug into this, how do they join your kind of crusade here . Sure. So theres a few ways. So first, um, going online, going to suagv. Org and online you can fill out a form to become a regional organizer which will allow you to dialogue with us and well figure out a way to plug you in and also definitely twitter.
