It s caught on camera and 34 year old Danielle Evans and 2 men carjacked an elderly man at curry ford and conway. The car was spotted hours later on south street and witnesses told us that led to the shootout with police. Investigators say three officers opened fire when evans tried to run them over. Evans seen here was hit but is expected to survive. She s been charged with armed carjacking and police say attempted murder charges will be added. Anyone with information is asked to call ocoee police. News 6. Justin happening today a man accused of exchanging gunfire with officers will face a judge. The gunfire erupted friday sanford just south of the 417. Police say it started after someone called 911 saying smith was pointing his gun at cars while walking along the busy street. When the sanford officer checked it out smith immediately started shooting. The man walking on the sidewalk was hit by a stray bullet and so were a few trucks in the parking lot of gibson truck world. No officers were hurt. And a look at an officer involved shooting caught on the screen on friday afternoon. 34 year old Danielle Evans and two men carjacked a vehicle on near cowerry ford. It led to a shoot out and chase with police. 3 shot when evans tried to run them over. She s been charged with armed carjacking and police say attempted murder charges will be added. The two men with evans were the officers are now on administrative leave while the investigation continues. This morning working to get more answers after someone shot and killed a 15 year old riding in the car. It happened on north Central Street just a few blocks from the boys and girls club of Central Florida in altamonte springs. Tamar harris was in the car when someone standing in the road started to shoot at them. The short time later harris died at the hospital. Police are still searching for that gunman. Now to the names of the men and women who found her dead and deputies were called to the Michigan Club south of seaworld. They say the person was found dead inside the apartments there. They were boyfriend and girlfriend and no history of Domestic Violence but they say they suspects. Year with the escaped inmate. Zander is listed as endangered and believed to be with mother Natasha Quigley and boyfriend escaped inmate gary bullock jr. Bullock failed to return to the Community Release center more than a week ago. U. S. Marshalls are leading the investigation. If you have any information or know where they may be, call police. And in california 2 inmates who escaped from a prison last week are back in Police Custody this morning. The two were part of the trio and authorities captured one of them yesterday in the same city. Police caught the other two in San Francisco yesterday morning. The tip led officers to the inmates. Officers approached the van as they the area on foot. The short foot pursuit ensued before being taken into custody by officers. To the white van and discovered the other escapee hiding in the van. Reporter the inmates were facing charges ranging from murder to attempted murder and kidnapping. Officials say the prison english teacher has been arrested in connection to the escape. This is one of our biggest cultural festivals and you know what i m talking about. It s wrapping up in historic eatonville. And that event is spotlighted and of course Delicious Food. And it is going to the event. Joining us today on flashpoint we have the executive director of eatonville community. Also the artist behind the majority projects eatonville and also graham is the guest curator for hurston museum. They re here to talk about this and thank you for joining us. Good morning. Thanks for having us. How is everyone doing. And named after the legendary officer and eatonville and how has the legacy impacted for Central Florida and why . In 1988 i would say that her name was not known in Central Florida. The opinion makers had no idea who she was. It s historically a black community and popularly known as the oldest incorporated African American community in the united states. The festival has really brought an awareness of zora and her work and the Education Community here with pre k through grades 12 as well as the post secondary Education Community i would say the association is recognized and respected as one of the institutions that bring the quality of life to the Central Florida region. Now this is your hometown. We re talking about eatonville. This is your community. This is the 27th year for this festival. What make its so special in your opinion . This is the kickoff to the year long celebration for zora s birthday. This festival is important and significant. We always do a quality job. The audience will acknowledge that. But when you have a milestone event like 125th anniversary, this festival begins and in april we ll have the cruise to haiti and jamaica and later in the year we ll be going to commemorate and at the end of the year with the College University and the center for research and black culture and this is the celebration in and on behalf of that milestone. It sounds not only historic but some of those event. I d say without a doubt. We focus on one of the highlights that kicked off this celebration. It was a dinner inspired by zora. What all was involved with that . This was some very nice programming because not only do we eat very well but it s based on the Research Done by the cultural historian and the food, a food expert out of massachusetts. And recipe and foundation of the research and also honored the number of students and ages 10 15 for citizenship and then it is going to that in maitland and it s the understanding and very warm event in terms of hospitality and of course the food was absolutely delicious. Prepared by an authentic cook for eastern cunningham. We had catfish and hushpuppies and chicken and dumplings and collard greens. We had everything i need to be invited to this event next year just mark your calendar i ll be there. Today on flashpoint one of the biggest cultural festivals ever. Here at the desk with me this morning are ny and the executive director for preserving the community and also the artist behind the journey for eatonville and also grand, the guest curator for the museum and they re here to talk about this festival. And tell us specifically. It s basically a collaborative project with and it is intergenerational. Try to include children and adults in the project. It involves gathering photographs of ancestors. It is really patterned after an african masquerade that is a costume that s constructed and warned to celebrate the notion of ancestors and remembering them. So the process involved in eatonville going around and then it s to the residents of the photographs and to be included in the art work. And then it is going to meet in and going to the image of the loved one and it s scanned on the website and it s out on the fabric. And then it is going to do the artwork. And then the cases with 5 people and the photographs that with the sun print process and the print gets sewn into the piece.
