it's wjz, maryland's news station. >> a retired teacher murdered, police found the victim in her car and tonight have released new information about a possible motive. going, everyone, i'm adam may. a retired teacher murdered in live daylight. live in glen burnie, susan collins just got an update on the case, suzanne? >> reporter: we learned about the case late today, it involves a 63 year old victim, her car was parked in the parking lot in this area. police believe it was an attempted robbery. myra cason is the victim. she's a retired school teacher. aparticipantly cason left a physician's appointment at about 7:30 in the morning. we'll tell you more now from detectives. apparently, she left a physician's appointment about 7:30 in the morning. that was the last time she was seen. police believe perhaps someone was in the car with her or approached her car here in the parking lot, and we do now have that story with the detectives. >> myra cason is a 63 year old former arundel school teacher, shot in the upper chest. >> we believe that possibly somebody was in the vehicle before she got to this lot. >> police were called to her car yesterday around 11:00 a.m. it was found in a remote part of a shopping center in glen bernie. >> it was crook and they had -- by the time i saw it, they had a tarp over it. >> reporter: she was last seen alive at 7:50:00 a.m. yesterday morning. the lot where her body was found in her car is considered a safe area by shoppers. >> it seems like a safe area, you never know. >> we need the public's help to figure out how she got here and if anybody saw anything. >> reporter: myra cason's family is devastated. she has family members here in glen burnie, they are pleading to the public to help solve the case. they have no leads, if at all. back to you on tv hill. >> thank you. police are urging anyone with information to call 410-222- 3458 or metro crime stoppers. maryland records another death related to the snow storm. the body of a man was found yesterday. officers found 31 year old antonio sesker after a search. police do not believe there was foul play in involved. three days after that storm, more than 3,000 customers in maryland are still without service. the company says it assigned about 2,000 workers to the routages, bge describes this as the worst winter seen they've seen in memory. >> what's unique about this storm is we've had 50% more outages as a result of this storm than with the two february back-to-back blizzards combined. >> bge hopes to have all outages restored by late tonight or early tomorrow morning. 3500 customers have been restored since wednesday. it has been overcast and calm compared to earlier this week. outside right now, plenty of clouds and lights of the city are president oz. poz -- hosni mubarak swore in a vice president. the u.s. urged mubarak to take concrete action before the new vice president was announced. hundreds of protestors gathered at the united nations saturday afternoon. one of more than a dozen demonstrations across the u.s. >> enough is enough. people are killing each other and you're using the army against the people now. >> reporter: protestors say they came here to express solidarity with the people in the streets of egypt and call the obama administration to take a tougher stand. more protestors gathered in paris, london, and beirut. at the white house, president obama met with his national security team. the president reiterated the need for egypt to use restraint against the uprising. at the united nations, scott goldburg, wjz news. >> los angeles, chicago, and seven other u.s. cities were gathered. right now police are searching for the man suspected in a deadly shooting. police say 30 year old ranard benjamin was shot several timed and later died. several men shot at benjamin before driving away in a silver four-door pickup truck. crews responded to this home in the 4500 block of sunny side avenue this afternoon. one person is being treated at a burn center this evening. a ride costs $1 for passengers, that could be going up. gigi explains. >> reporter: two months ago, annapolis city leaders revamped the transit system after some customers complained about it. >> we want to get to places on time. >> reporter: so the city added new lines, better buses, and more transfer stops. but next month it may cost more to get on, 50 cents more if county leaders approve a plan to raise the rate. >> our fare was way below market value. >> reporter: richard newell says the increased rate will also pay for a planned circulate to near the state house, and that could attract riders who usually drive. >> it's important for us to do it effectively, but we also want people like you and me, who have an option. we want to provide the kind of service that will make you say i don't need my car to go that distance. >> reporter: the city says it considered a number of options before deciding that to eliminate from the transit line. one idea that was nixed was starting the bus line an hour later in the morning, but ultimately the city decided passengers would not be able to get to work on time. i think it adds up. >> i'm a big person on recycling. i like to save things and this is a way to give bike while working out. these bikes are a great opportunity to give instead of taking. >> reporter: they are designing generators for the rest of the equipment and some day 25% of the electricity could be generated by health club members. >> by the end of the year they hope to have the would be okay, we were below freezing and stayed there, but this system is already taking in moisture from a storm off the pacific coast, taking a dive down towards the gulf states. it's going to bring warm air into the cold air that we have sitting over top of i. what that means is we're going to see a bit of a mix. it's not going to be all snow or rain, although we could see a change of rain into the coast. we're going to see an icing event. that could be a real big problem for us. the cold air is already going to be here. this is a monday into tuesday into wednesday event. primarily tuesday into wednesday when the storm makes the sweep up towards the eastern sea board. we're going to take a close look on the storm taking the track on the mainland or out to sea. if it stays out to sea, we'll be okay. but if it comes in, we'll see mixing. we could see wintry mix on tuesday and wednesday and a change into snow. our next high tide, 3:01. sunrise tomorrow at 7:15. forecast looks
