Im talking to people who have lived in the community for the past decade saying they were waiting to hear exactly what the word would be in this case. Many of them finding out as we told them this afternoon that it lacked Charles Severance was found guilty on all 10 charges. One woman grabbing her chest saying, that she was waiting to hear what the news would be and she knew one of the victims personally who had helped her move to this community and she said she was relieved. We talked to another man who has lived in this neighborhood for decades saying that he hopes the jury did the right thing and he now is thankful that the families will have closure. This has been spanning more than a decade. Community have been on edge for more than a decade. We have been talking to residents who have lived here as these crimes happened. Thejury found him guilty in murders of nancy dunning, ron kirby, and ruthanne lodato. The high profile alexandria residents were killed over a 10 year span. We are getting reaction from their families and outside the courtroom and we are also awaiting a press conference on the verdict. And classrooms are normally bustling here at this hour at the Trinity Christian school in fairfax, but this morning all the students stayed home to participate in whats called Virtual Learning day. Todays the trial run day. Emptyassrooms will be today, but the 700 students will still be in class. They will just be at home on Tablet Computers instead. I think they are excited to be in their pajamas, to learn from home, to learn in a different way with a flipped classroom concept. In the case of a flu outbreak or extended power outage, students will now be able to learn from home. So we asked, does it mean snow days will be a thing of the past . No it does not. Nobody should expect that. That if there is a snow day we are expecting them to learn home. But if there is an extended period of time skype, dos will webcasts, and have conversations with their students just as if they were sitting here. Parents love the idea. When we have a lot of snow days its very hard for them to keep up with their studies, very hard to keep up with the rest of the nation for ap classes and stuff like that.
