This is an all too common seen in frederick county. 100mber of trees, more than calls have been put in for down trees. It is also power lines and transformers have been blown all morning long. The crew here is working very quickly on this massive tree that came down. It made Fairview Road him passable. Him passable. We have seen this all day long. Downed trees are causing a lot of Power Outages in this neighborhood alone. More than 450 homes are in the dark and in the cold at this hour. We understand there are hundreds more around the region. We spoke to one gentleman who lost power early this morning. We could not get down the steps. I went back to bed. The first transformer blew at 5 30 a. M. It blew at the church. The second transformer blew down the street here. 37 breaking all morning. We have been listening to them crack. Trees have been breaking all morning. What does it look like there . The ice in leesburg is starting to melt off the power lines and trees like this one. You can see all of the eyes but it is starting to melt. It is a much different scene than what it was a few hours ago. With ice caked on everything from streets and sidewalks to plants and power lines, problems quickly mounted across Northern Virginia this morning. The precipitation was too much for some power lines. Virginia dominion power crews worked to fix broken down lines in several locations across labor across leesburg. Heavy snow in connecticut up towards boston. People useirport outside new york city and that is close because of the bad weather.
