Metro Officials Say they got a disconcerting telephone call into their operations center, a man on the tracks in the tunnel here at the potomac avenue metro station. A female metro transit officer pursued. For reasons unclear, a shot was fired. That man is dead. I saw all of this and i am like, oh my god. I am thinking, what in the world . It is chaos. They had all the tape and everything. Metro officers say the tunnel was a scene of a fatal shooting. In the tunnel on the westbound track, between potomac avenue and the armory. A man got onto the tracks went into the tunnel, and was pursued by Transit Police. One officer fired a shot and killed the individual. His body was found 400 feet east of the platform. Her train was the last to pull into the station. This is my worst fear, to be on a train and Something Like this happens. An investigation has been launched. This writer rider remains shaken. I might have to start driving it driving. Authorities have not told us if this man was armed or not or if he presented some sort of threat to this metro transit officer, who again, is unharmed. Obviously, these will be critical parts of this investigation. The station is closed. They hope it will be back up and running for the morning rush. Thank you. They say the alleged scammers did not do anything close to what they promised. They did not fill it in the way they said they would. They said they would make her driveway look nice. They did not. She is not the only one. Two of her neighbors were also hit, as was someone a few miles away. They would claim they were using sealant on driveways, but were actually using lack paint mixed with gasoline. Police say they scanned folks out of 1600 bucks and tried to get the victims to pay more, but they refused. It is disheartening. You hope you are helping out somebody.
