Scrambled after small contact with a small plane did not happen. It entered restricted airspace. The pilot crashed off the Eastern Shore in virginia. That crash was 51 miles southeast of virginia. The coast guard is using helicopters, planes, and ships to search the ocean water. Ae aircraft is described as singleengine cessna with only the pilot aboard. Investigators say it took from took off from the southeastern wisconsin airport this morning. It was supposed to arrive in manassas at 2 40 the afternoon. It never arrived. That is when two f16 fighter jets were scrambled to investigate this nonresponsive aircraft. They tried to get the pilot to pull up.
