A judge orders Brendan Dassey be released from prison no later than tomorrow. Unless an emergency appeal filed by the state can keep him locked up. And now all eyes are on where dassey is being held. Dasseys conviction for his role in the rape and murder or Teresa Halbach was state has appealed that ruling. The state filed an emergency appeal to keep him behind bars in a higher court. Prosecuters argue dassey should stay in prison until his case is resolved in court. And the lower court did not have the authority to order dasseys release and by doing so would cause irreparable harm to the case. Dasseys attorney argues the state has not made a case to keep him locked up. A judge has ordered dassey be released no later than 8 pm tomorrow unless the 7th circuit of appeals rules otherwise.
