The original quake struck near the town of norcia but aftershocks were felt in many other nearby towns causing destruction there as devastation caused. As you cans see the quake leveling buildings in several towns. And leaving streets. Littered with debris. Some residents were reportedly buried under collapsed buildings. The aftershocks were reportedly felt in rome which is about 100 miles away. The region is the same one that endured an earthquake back in 2009 that left more than 300 people dead. Police investigating a shooting near the same intersection Syville Smith was shot by a Milwaukee Police officer. Were told that a 19yearold man was sitting in a car near 44th and auer around 10 when a suspect fired several shots into the car. A friend drove the victim to the hospital and police say the man received a very serious gunshot wound. But that he is expected hit and run that has a little girl fighting for her life this morning. A 65yearold man is facing charges accused of shooting and killing a passerby outside the Milwaukee Police district 6 headquarters. Randall drescher says he was there to buy a gun from somebody he met online. At some point, the victim 42yearold reed carlsen walked by. An argument startedcarlsen and then reportedly charged at him. According to prosecutors drescher says he feared for his life and opened fire. Moments later he turned himself into police. Drescher is now charged with first degree reckless homicide. In riverwest half a dozen cars broken into in one night. It happened in the area of humboldt just south of capitol. Police say all six of the vehicles were locked and their windows were smashed. But his plan ended up backfiring. The tree sat in his neighbors yard, but it had branches above his parking space. Those branches would drip sap onto his car. So, saturday afternoon, the man picked up a chainsaw and cut through the 36 inch wide trunk, knocking the tree building due to the damage.
