After more then seven decades, a World War Two veteran finally receives his diploma. 90yearold george frihchoveski fricovsky received his High School Diploma during a special ceremony. The schools vice principal is fricovskys grandson. During his junior year in 1944 to fight in World War Two. Stationed in france he was injured by a german hand grenade, and was honorably discharged with a purple heart. He then returned to the us and started a family. His children and other family members said fricovsky always felt bad for not finishing school. Fricovsky says i was really surprised, never expected this. K. Walsh says it was great. I know my mom was watching down from heaven and shes definitely proud of him. He always felt unaccomplished so now he has it.
