Wisconsins busiest interchange is rising to new heights. Giant cranes will be moved into position to set in place four of those enormous blue tub girders, as theyre called. That actually holds the roadway up. They are the support for what will be the eastbound to northbound ramp in the zoo systan construction project manager, mark klipstein, says the interstate has to be shutdown because the work will be happen far up above the roadway. Theyre going to be lifted up and then theyre going to be airspliced up in the air. This would have actually gone over eastbound 94 traffic, so we cant allow that to happen. Its playing out so high above to road, in fact, that it marks a milestone of sorts for the project. This system ramp is the highest system ramp in the interchange, so were going up the top of the interchange going up. The highpoint, perhaps, but nowhere near the end. In fact, when it comes to placing those huge ramp girders, it is not even one fourth of way to finish line. We have about 140 sections of tub girders. Were probably on number 30 right now. Paul spencers clarks liquor store is back open, but still recovering after dozens of , people pillaged it early sunday. He calls the people seen on his story surveillance video, some carrying out cases of liquor opportunists not protesters. , care about the issue. They can loot. They can steal. They werent able to get behind the counter, but as he shows me the video says they , caused tens of thousands of dollars in damage in damage. It was almost an inch deep. It dripped into the basement.
