A heavy Police Presence on francis street where some type of standoff has been going on for several hours. It seemsk to over now. We are told it started at 5 00 this morning. There were reports that at least one suspect was barricaded inside of a home there. Police have not released or confirmed any details yet. Our 7 news crew did say a short time ago that two people were taken out of the home. We will monitor this situation and bring you any updates throughout the morning. 7 news turning our attention to roxbury now. A twoyearold girl is caught in the cross fire. Gunfire erupting on the street here. Police say she was with her father. They think he was the intended target. Now they are asking the community for their help in finding whoever pulled the trigger. Kelli ohara has the latest from roxbury. It looks like the baby was sitting in the back seat, and its a minor wound. You know, everybody should be outraged. Report t Boston Police commissioner William Evans angry and frustrated after a twoyearold baby girl is rushed to the hospital saturday afternoon after being shot while sitting in the back seat of her fathers car in this roxbury neighborhood. The commissioner says the toddlers father was the intended target. Senseless shooting. Im a little disappointed. I wish we had more cooperation. Obviously, the father here is a known gang kid to us. Reporter after putting their lives on the line, Boston Police officers Richard Cintolo and matt morris are both still recovering at mass. General hospital. The Department Says officer morris had surgery on saturday. He severed a major artery when police say Kirk Figueroa opened fire wednesday night. As for officer cintolo, he is on the mend after having surgery on friday. 7 news spoke with mayor walsh about the two officers and the communitys overwhelming response. Really, its been incredible. An outpouring of support and love for these officers. Right now the Investigation Continues into what happened on gladstone street in east boston. As we get more details, we will find out more about the suspect. Reporter Boston Police say the pair responded to a call about a Man Threatening his roommate with a knife. When they went inside, figueroa started shooting. He was allegedly armed with a body armor, wounding officers morris and cintolo. The suck County District Attorneys Office will conduct their own independent investigation. Mayor walsh spoke about the risk these officers and others like them take every day. Any time a Police Officer gets called to a domestic situation, you are not really sure whats going to happen. Or any situation for this matter. Policing has changed today. Kris a New Hampshire man now facing dui charg highway. A state trooper was on the highway when he saw that driver coming toward him. A standoff with police and francis street at about 5 00 this morning for a reported shots fired. When they arrived, they could smell gunpowder. Several people were barricaded inside of the house. We are now told six people have been removed from the home. Police have now obtained a search warrant to go inside and figure out whats going on. There are no reports of any injuries at this point. Three Good Samaritans rescued the woman who was behind the wheel of the s. U. V. She was trapped inside when the vehicle went into the water. We first showed you the dramatic video of the rescue yesterday. Thankfully, police say the woman is going to be okay. Here is amaka ubaka. Reporter Arlington Police pulled this s. U. V. From spy pond on saturday. They say it ended up in the water when its driver, a 68yearold woman from medford, was trying to back into a parking spot friday afternoon. Into the pond. The s. U. V. Began slowly sinking. That is when three men jumped into action, diving into the cold water, making a miraculous save. As the car started to go down, i could see a woman inside in the drivers seat leaning over, slamming on the passenger window. Trying to get out. Reporter getting her to dry land as the s. U. V. Went under. She was very, very scared and had taken in water. And she knew she was dying. I mean, she figured this was it. Reporter police say the woman was conscious and alert when she was taken out of the water. She was treated for mild hypothermia at the hospital. Dan frazier and his friend visiting from australia say they didnt think twice. She let me pull her. And she was floating on her back. Her legs were up. On top of the water. And it was just like. You know, as hard as it was to pull her in, it was just wonderful to see her floating. She was sinking a little bit. Over from there. And pulled her in to shore. Three People Killed and a dozen more injured after a shooting at a house party in los angeles saturday morning. Police say that an argument started outside of the home. Three men left the home.
