As you mentioned, a couple lanes eastbound on the mass pike shut down, and here, take a look why. You can see fire and rescue along with police still on the scene here. You can see two tractortrailers collided. Take a look at that crunched cab of that second tractortrailer. Were told that police had to use the jaws of life to get that driver out. He was taken to umass Memorial Hospital with serious injuries. Now, the cause remains under investigation, but again, as we take a live look here, you can see crews working, trying to remove those few tractortrailers. Again, you can see the damage, where they rearended each other. Police on the scene along with accident reconstruction groups. Also you can also see right now just one lane of traffic getting by eastbound again. This is in auburn near 290. So a bad accident involving two tractortrailers. One person taken to the hospital. Were following more breaking a Great Britain team member targeted by robbers. Christa according to these reports, the athlete was held up at gunpoint while spending a night out on the town. Now, this as some new questions are surfacing regarding ryan lochte and three other american swimmers who also said they were held up by robbers posing as police. Overnight two of those swimmers were pulled off their flight headed back to the u. S. , and we learned that they wont be leaving rio any time soon. Heres 7s nancy chen with nancy their story called into question. Now Gold Medalist ryan lochte, who claims he and teammates were robbed at gunpoint after a night of partying, is on the defense. He spoke with nbcs matt lauer. I said, ryan, there are people out here, there is script scepticism that you made ths story up along with these other swimmers to cover up some other he strongly denied that, said its absolutely not the case. I wouldnt make up a story like this, nor would the others. As a matter of fact, we all feel it makes us look bad. Were victims in this. Nancy but now police say they havent found evidence to support his account. A brazilian judge found contradictions in the swimmers reports. Lochte told the today show host that authorities never seemed to question his account. He said never during the questioning did they question his truthfulness. As a matter of fact, they seemed to support everything he said, and at one point they said, thank you, and they congratulated him on his performance here at the games. Nancy in security video obtained by the daily mail online, you see the swimmers returning to the Olympic Village the morning after they say they were held up. The judge cited this video, ordered the passports of lochte and teammate jimmy feigen be seized. The judge says the men appeared to be joking. They didnt seem to be shaken physically or psychologically. Lochte is already back in the states. In his conversation with lauer, he denied he made anything up, now, when he talked to billy bush on sunday, bob, he said thats when the guy took the gun, put it to his forehead and cocked it. In this case a british atlegal is reporting having been robbed while enjoying a night on the town. The team confirming that he or she did get robbed but is set to be okay. But this does come as ryan lochte, who is already back in the United States, defends his claim that he and some of his teammates were robbed a judge found contradictions in the reports from the swimmers and ordered that the passports of lochte as well as teammate jimmy feigen be seized. Theres an accident happening around 00 on the mass pike eastbound in auburn. Right now there is only one lane of traffic getting through, and Danielle Gersh, can you tell us how bad traffic is backed up and what this means for everybodys morning commute . Christa some other breaking news now. Two american swimmers are being detained in brazil. In fact, they were pulled off of their flights last night. Brazilian authorities are barring them from leaving the country until they testify about a climb of an Armed Robbery. Sarah also breaking from overnight, reports of another different athlete, so a lot to get to this morning. Lets get right out to 7s nancy chen in rio with the breaking details. Sarah we are now learning a british athlete is reporting a robbery. This man was out enjoying a night on the town when he was robbed at gunpoint. Members of the team are now being urged not to leave the athletes village according to the guardian newspaper. A spokesman for the british patric team confirms the theft to the bbc, adding all members individual concerned, are accounted for and are safe and well. Now, this does come amid controversy and confusion over swimmer ryan lochtes account that he and three other swimmers were held up overnight. The two american swimmers that were removed from a flight out of rio were released from custody, but it does not seem like they will be able to leave any time soon. Meantime, lochte has revealed a little more about that night. Sticking to his story, but bush, youll remember on sunday, bob, he said thats when the guy took the gun, put it to his forehead, and cocked it. When he talked to me tonight he said, thats when the guy pointed the gun in my direction and cocked it. He said, no, thats not exactly what happened. I said, ryan, there are people out here, there is script similar that you made this story up along with these other swimmers to cover up some other form of embarrassing behavior.
