They havent been able to get her in court for aat the same time because were told she has been unconscious today. Now she was shot right over here in front of her apartment in weymouth. Anchor this woman who didnt want to show her face on camera said she doesnt understand why a Weymouth Police officer had to shoot her friend and neighbor. She says the woman suffered from Mental Illness but would never hurt anyone. I think thats ridiculous. She would never go after anyone. She would never go after a Police Officer or anybody. Anchor Weymouth Police say 911 call from a frantic mother who stated that her daughter was trying to kill herself with a knife. Police say the officer was confronted at the door by hysterical 46yearold female who was armed with a large knife. Police say the officer was forced to back away toward the street and the suspect followed him, brandishing the knife while ignoring his orders to drop the knife. Police say the officer fired once, striking the suspect in the abdomen area. It it looked like a big kitchen knife. Reporter this woman said while she saw the knife on ground next to her friend she did not see the shooting. She said she previously heard the woman talk about taking her life. If anything always wanted to sometimes kill herself but she would never ever hurt anybody. Reporter other neighbors in the large apartment complex also questioned the shooting.
