The aircraft went down in the fox river near the dayton dam in Lasalle County at about ten last night. The Lasalle County Sheriffs Department says the man who was piloting the aircraft was able to get out of the river and was taken to the hospital. His condition is unknown. His passenger was trapped in the ultra light. The government of iraq is refuting the claim that islamist militants seized control of the countrys Largest Oil Refinery. A defrocked priest who served prison time for sexually abusing children pled not guilty to new charges against him. Daniel mccormack is facing three counts of felony aggravated criminal sexual abuse. Prosecutors say he fondled a 10yearold boy on several occasions in 2005, while the boy was participating in an Afterschool Program at saint agatha. The boy did not report the abuse until last year. Mccormack pled guilty to abusing five boys in 2007. He was sentenced to prison then admitted into a Mental Health facility, where he remains. He is due back in court next month. Chicago Public Schools is proposing several changes to its discipline policy, in hopes of reducing the number of suspensions and keeping more students in the classroom. The proposed changes include no more suspensions for students caught using cell phones in class, eliminating suspensions in prek through second grade and eliminating mandatory expulsions for students below sixth grade except for weapons violations.
