This morning regardless of the senate race in New Hampshire, republicans have maintained control of the senate. Daniel governor Maggie Hassan took the stage saying she is not giving up until the final vote is counted. To be close and while we are feeling good right now, this race is still too close to call. We continue to have a small but sustainable lead based on our results [cheering] based based on our results from almost 670,000 we have a lead of over 5,000 votes. [chanting maggie] thank you, thank you, thank you. So there are still votes to count in a lot and we are confident that we are going to maintain our lead when every vote is in. And i know that many of our extraordinary volunteers across the state have been working since early, very early this morning, Holding Signs at the polls, making phone calls and just as they have been doing for months. Tuesday night and not a minute after the polls closed that peoples phone that hillary here in framingham all day, very little lines if at any lines at all. Four and a half million registered voters in massachusetts and more than a million took advantage of early voting and cast their ballots long before tuesday. Participated in early voting, and as far as total voter turnout, the secretary of state expects to see numbers rivaling what we saw in 2012 and 2008, somewhere around 3 million voters taking part in election 2016. In framingham, jason law, fox25 news. Lets head north to New Hampshire now. Fox 25s erika richie went to Amherst Street Elementary School in nashua where voters filled the place all day and night. 4571 ballots at the Amherst Street school in nashua, New Hampshire yesterday. Of that, more than half of those went to Hillary Clinton for the president ial race, and governor Maggie Hassan also took the majority here. So the democrats took the majority for this particular ward here in nashua, New Hampshire. Now overall, about 72 of voters turned out here, but would you never know it because there were no long lines or crowds with the exception of first thing in the morning when around the building. More than 50 of the vote came in between then and 1 00 in the afternoon. After that, it was a steady stream up until the doors closed at 8 00 on the dot. We caught up with one of the last voters to cast her ballot, and interestingly enough, it was her first time coming to the polls. Last minute, each vote counts, right. So you have to come out.
