We are starting to see some improvement that will vary through the morning. Take it easy on the roadways running into the lower visibility. Temperatures for places like norwood are below freezing, you will see patchy black ice on untreated surfaces. Very careful out there. Temperatures widespread from the 20s in southwestern New Hampshire and norwood down to the 40s and 50s on the cape. 40s right now boston. The good news is, although it is a really cold start in some locations, we will see the sunshine today work at those temperatures. While we have some clouds and looking at mostly sunny skies through the afternoon and temperatures climbing once again above average into the 50s. It is going to be another really nice day well above the average and we could be touching near 60 in some spots. When we will see the cooler weather return and when the risk of showers arrive. Yes, we are going to watch the roadways very carefully too this morning for the possibility of some patchy black ice. Why . Because temperatures in some freezing and we are noticing some fog developing and sure enough that could lead to freezing fog. If the ground looks wet, just be careful for those untreated surfaces. But the good news is just like yesterday another mild day. Temperatures well above the average. Also continuing to watch an ocean storm. Most of the moisture seems to be offshore but some could see showers. I wanted to look at yesterday. People come people coming into work this morning saying it was nice. It was. Upper 50s to 60 felt like spring. Normal high for this weekend in december, 44 degrees. We smash that and we will continue to see really warm conditions again today. But just like yesterday, we have some low visibility in spots. If you were going to be driving early take precautions driving early take precautions, especially down the southeast. Likely see parts of the Connecticut River valley to see some lower visibility at times. And in places like norwood where the visibility is a is below freezing and we could see tricky conditions along the roadways. Otherwise, wide range in temperatures from the 20s and 30s and 40s and even 50s down across nantucket. Some high thin clouds out there right now. Not too bad. As we head on through the day, High Pressure still in control and a weak cold front that is going to bring us more in the way of switch in wind direction than any kind of precipitation. What we are expecting in boston right now, 40 degrees with that wind is out of the southwest currently. It will switch to the north by later part of the day, but it is adding a wind chill. So stepping to thought morning morning, feels like at the freezing mark in the city, but over the next 12 hours, anticipate anticipating to see temperatures climb into the 40s and 50s by this afternoon with mostly sunny skies. Now winds will remain light, but by the afternoon, those winds will be out of the northwest to the north. High temperatures today is going to be another mild one, folks. Mid to even upper 50s. I would not be surprised with some areas near 60 degree, especially in places like norwood and foxborough. Boston looking up to mid50s. North and west of the Merrimack Valley into parts of New Hampshire. 50s as well. So we will have to get to the foggy spots in morning. We will see the sunshine begin to break back out, but as we head through the evening hours, we will start to see the clouds filter on in. Clouds will get pretty thick overnight and take a look at this. Here is our ocean storm. Most of the moisture looks to into the overnight hours into early tomorrow morning, a few showers could be possible along the south coast as well as the cape and islands. As the system continues to push away, could see a few showers across our southeastern areas. But further north and west you go, likely will stay very dry. But notice the winds out of the northeast. A cooler wind direction and we will see those mild conditions we had yesterday and for the day today. Say goodbye for short while. For this time of year. Anticipate and we will still see some clouds around and the cooler weather will arrive.
