Reporter we were here when a church group stopped by to pick up some of the Homeless People so they wouldnt have to sleep in the cold on the county property. We have been talking to member all day and all night, and they are hoping for a permanent solution to the problem. Theres people sleeping out here now, and they need help now. Reporter pastor Jeffrey Robinson and his members are opening up the church to the homeless tonight. We will take as many as we can handle at the church. We will be full capacity. Reporter dozens of homeless campers have called this Volusia County Administration Center home for weeks. Last week we were there when county leaders met to come up with a plan to move the homeless. Theres no permanent fix and the next day after the meeting, Eyewitness News heard from a homeless leader accosted a worker. We are working to learn what happened and if a Police Report was filed. The Administration Center on beach street will be closed to the public on monday over safety concerns, but taxpayers we spoke to are not concerned about the closure. Natasha quigley helped her boyfriend cut off his ankle bracelet and helped him escape from his Work Release Program.
