Reporter that hearing is set for 1 30 this afternoon, huffman was booked into the county jail last night behind me and in a matter of hours shell be walked from the county jail to the county courthouse a few steps away to face charges. Also this morning were getting a first look at her latest mug shot. Shes become officially charged with leaving the been officially charged with leaving death. She was caught last night at an apartment complex in st. Pete after a daylong search. Investigators believe she drove off after hitting tow truck driver roger perez on the Howard Frankland just before rush hour on monday morning. Perez was helping a stranded happened. Huffmans damaged car was found not far from the accident hotel. Weve also learned that huffman has a long history of trouble with the law with a number of to legally drive. Two other suspects are behind bars, detectives believe they wanted revenge on the victims for armed robbery. Were trying to get an estimate on how much damage a tornado caused when ripping through Escambia County overnight. The storms that you heard last night or early this morning damaged dozens of homes and businesses near pensacola. Overnight crews searched debris looking for people trapped. The thunderstorm also knocked out power for tens of thousands of people in the area. Four pensacola schools are closed now, because they dont have any power. Accused of killing roger perez, a husband and father, who just loaded a disabled car into his killed. His family tells us he has a wife and child in venezuela. Huffmans car was found at the Crowne Plaza Hotel area shortly after the crash. Troopers say huffman has a long history of dui arrests in Hillsborough County. Friends of the victim now want to know why she still had a license. I dont care if her license was validated or not . Why are we so lenient . Being done dead . Police say huffman used an alias to get a taxi to the hard rock casino. Right now Hillsborough County family safe after their garage caught fire early this morning. The fire happened at a home on Laurel Brook Court and riverview just before 6 30 this morning. Fire Officials Say a car in the garage caught fire. One person in the home got up in time, smelled the smoke and quickly alerted the three others in the home, all four made it out safely. Luckily Hillsborough County was able to battle the flames quickly and keep it from spreading to the rest of the house. Neighbors say they heard a pop followed by screams coming from the home. I heard something pop out here by my garage door so when i opened the garage door that is when the neighbors were across the street yelling at us to get out. No one was hurt. What caused that car to catch fire is still under investigation. Covering Citrus County, we checked overnight and found out a man accused of cyberstalking later this morning. Deputies believe William Beagle used different phone numbers and social media sites to keep reaching out to those women even after they blocked him.
