We are not putting Ground Troops into iraq ever again. Reporter then donald trump on his fitnessness to run the u. S. Military. The main thing is i have good judgment. Reporter hell pick new generals but trump says he already knows how to beat isis. I have a substantial chance of winning. If i win, i dont want to broadcast to the so you want to be complicated by that former kgb officer. When he calls me brilliant, ill take that okay. Reporter he also said putin has been more of a leader than president obama. North korea furthering its Nuclear Missile program. On friday, they larged their fifth and most powerful nuclear test. North koreas continued nuclear test make it a president. This morning, i am joined by democrat allen, and republican john. Gentlemen, thank you for joining me. Thank you. Thank you. Lets start with trumps comments. He said putin has been more of a leader than president barack obama. Senator marco rubio reacting to this. I disagree can with donald trump on many issues. I disagree with Hillary Clinton on virtually every issue. Disagree. Hes a dictator basically. He controls the press. He has no political opponents because theyre either dead or in jail. Thats not leadership, thats a dictator. I have strong policy disagreements with barack obama but hes a democratically elected president and theres a process where the senate holds power. Reporter john, let me ask you, this party is looking at. Do you think this is helping trump with the Republican Party . I think what its conveying is, what trump is trying to say is he feels putin has been a stronger leader in terms of not allowing his country to be overshadowed by other countries. His stance from the beginning, trumps stance from the beginning has been that we have lost influence, we have lost stature point he was trying to make but has marco rubio said, its not a fair comparison because he works under a different political system. I think this is going to show pretty much what a Trump Presidency could be like. Theres going be areas where republicans and donald trump will disagree but i think it shows, again, you dont have to agree on every issue and thats what we as republicans try to abide by always is that as long as we agree on 80 other 20 we with can find common ground. Allen, youre smiling. Well, you know, just when you thought youve seen everything. When you have a candidate that is looking to lead the United States of america talking about an adversary like putin in the way that he does, its incredible to me. People are going have to look in november when they go in this voting booth and say do i love america more than i the vast majority will come to that decision to say we cannot allow this person that speaks in these ways, that goes on russian tv the and says the things he says. Politics should stop at the boundaries of this country. We can disagree in this country but when were on the International Stage and were talking about world satisfity, these things, we speak of one safety, these things, we speak with one voice and we t let donald trump have that stage. Reporter lets talk about Hillary Clinton. She talked about her role as secretary of state and how she was in the situation room the night that osama bin lad enwas killed. There was a time during her time as secretary of state that we dont hear about as much. Do you think her time is overshadowed by the email scandal . Will look past that . I home we will. Were talking about a woman who has spent a lifetime serving others and doing amazing things, breaking one Glass Ceiling after another. She has proven northwest every capacity she has served. She made herself in every capacity she has served. She made a mistake and she admitted that. Is one small mistake, when you compare it to a lifetime of leadership and that calm, steady, very informed, educated, experience chair in that oval office on day one and be an incredible president of the United States, i think thats what people will remember. Reporter can republicans look past the scandal into her experience that she does have, cant deny that and vote for her . I think thats where things started for republicans in terms of validating why she is not qualified to be president of the United States. Its because of her time as secretary of the state. Yeah, she was in the room but obviously we saw president barack obama who continued george w. Bushs mission in finding Osama Bin Laden take the credit for that so is she trying to take credit for president obamas work in something that started in the Bush Administration . For her to take credit for that adds to the glorifying and embellishment of many other stories shes had. You know, the sniper fire we continue to see a track record of her trying to embellish and redirect people towards the things she wants people to remember. Guys, we will get back to this in a moment. First, up next, well talk about Hillary Clintons statement that half of Donald Trumps supporters are quote deplorables. And well look at the electoral map. Welcome back. Hillary clinton is facing criticism for insulting millions of donald trump supporters. During an lgbt fund raiser, clinton said that half of trumps supporters belong in a quote basket of deplorables. You could put half of trumps supporters into what i call the right. The racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, you name it. Guys, im back. Joined by jonathan and allen. After the many insults weve heard hurled this political season, did Hillary Clinton take it too as far . One comment which she has apologized for. You put that into perspective of everything thats come from th mean just every day another insult, another populations been insulted. She had one, one misstatement and a crowd format. You know, i want to go back to something said earlier about Hillary Clinton and this, her, her background experience. Know that for 30 something years, the gop and the republicans have done nothing. Theyve felt threatened by her and done nothing but try to take her down. Everything that attack and they attack. If one doesnt work, theyll pivot to Something Else so the latest attack has been on emails or some other perceived or fabricated scandal but theyll never give the credit of the type of experience and leadership that calm disability she offered to be stability she offered to be president of the United States. Well, let me ask, Hillary Clinton is focusing on Donald Trumps temperament. Is this a good move to focus her attention on trump . I think its a small reveal of who she is. Weve heard from secret service about her temperament, the way she treats people. Now through social media, we get behind the scenes views of her arguing with black lives matter supporters. Now, because of social media, we get so see what people didnt normally see years ago when the clintons were coming up through the political ranks. The truth of the president ial primary other candidates go the trump route in terms of insults and it backfired on them just like it backfired on hillary. Its unfortunate that were at this place in time but in termings of temperament, i think theyre even keel. Guy, i wish you had more time to chat but we have run out of time. Coming up, the race to win florida is as crucial as any in the country. Welcome back. For a look at the polls, question are joined by Frank Orlando by the polling institute. Frank, thank you for joining us. Thank you. We have a look at an electoral map. The states in red are leaning blue are leaning in clintons direction. The states closer to white could go either way. This is where the polls really matter, its the state polls that matter at the end of the day. Beyond florida, what states should we be watching . Obviously florida no. 1, beyond florida, ohio is say huge state. Almost any republican path to victory relies on winning in ohio so ohio is huge. Donald trump, not doing as well in states that normally republicans would need to win like vi other states like pennsylvania have to come into play. If hes not going to be able to win in places like ohio and pennsylvania, hes going to have to run the table in florida, North Carolina and virginia. That brings up a thing, is florida a mustwin for Hillary Clinton . Honestly, she could probably win without florida. Donald trump probably couldnt win out florida. Hed have to hit a could sneak up and surprise clinton . Maybe some of the industrial midwest states if she doesnt pay enough attention to them. Perhaps, michigan, that was a state that donald trump targeted in saying maybe ill put this into play. But, you know, thats the kind of thing where he wins michigan, we will have won other states that probably get him to the white house any way. Lets look at some polling that you guys did at st. Leo polling institute. Trump among republicans has a 28. 7 unfavorable rating, clinton among democrats has a 7 unfavorable rating. Can they turn those numbers around . I think already you see a coming home to your candidate, so donald trump and what weve been seeing in the last week or two is rising in the last week or two and thats reluctant republicans saying i dont like donald trump but maybe i can get back on board. In the last few weeks. Although her favorable isnt high, thats going to keep the race close. Frank, thank you for coming in and breaking this down. We totally appreciate it. Thank you. Coming up next, the fight against zika, how Governor Scott is making a more personal morning. John hinkley was released from a Mental Institution after a judge ruled he was not a threat to himself orr the public. Late they are week, Governor Scott will head to washington to ask for more money to fight zika. Lawmakers have been arguing over a funding package for months. Governor scott will make his in person plea this tuesday and wednesday. This morning. From nbc news in washington, this is meet the press with chuck todd. Good sunday evening. This morning a huge american flags the attack there. In lower manhattan,we observed a moment of silence at 8 46 a. M. Eastern time, marking the moment when the first plane flight 11 fl flew into the north tower of the World Trade Center. Immediately afterwards, as they do every year, relatives began reading the names of the victims of the attacks at the World Trade Center
