That they all want to Work Together to fix this problem. Because this has impacted all these communities in one way or another. They want utility and maintenance workers from the various municipalities to communicate with problems. The task force will identify and implement solutions, mitigate emergency situations, and develop short and longterm strategies. Saint pete mayor, rick, spoke about some of the initiatives his staff is all ready taking. The city has all ready budgeted 230 million to address capacity issues. Officials face criticism for dumping millions of gallons of we have to address filtration. Relining the pipes, work on Manhole Covers and addressing the issue of private laterals. All of those contribute to the challenges we had in these three storm events. We had more rainwater and water that got into our system than our system could handle. Now, the task force will meet bimonthly. The meetings are open to the public. And county leaders say they want the end goal plan within the next 90 days. All right. This began late sunday night with the report of a fight between a man and his pregnant girlfriend. Deputies were forced to open fire when the man came at them with a knife. Deputies faced a tense to be killed by the cops and in the end, once he lunged at them with a knife, thats exactly what happened. Neighbors knew something was wrong when they heard the bang of tear gas canisters and smelled chemicals. It was so loud it shook our windows. Myra was at home with her daughter and grand kids. She realized what was happening when she listened closely. They kept asking him. Begging with him and pleading with him. Please, put the weapon down put your hands up. Put your hands up. I dont know how many times they begged. A pregnant woman called 911 on her boyfriend who she claimed beat her up. The man refused to leave his home. They called in swat members.
