Others found out after trying to deposit the check. But why were there insufficient funds to begin with . We were contacted by adp and told they did not pull the funds from our Checking Account to cover the checks. The supervisor elections decided to cut the checks directly, calling and staff to organize and distribute new went up checks as quickly as drivethrough at their headquarters on west kaley avenue for workers who needed the money asap. Workers like luis ramos who actually rode his bike across town to get his check. Now i have to find out if i have an overdraft in my account. I mean, the money is there. It should been worked out. Vicky bell is running for supervisor of elections and says not having enough ballots at polling places and issuing bad checks to poll workers is something that couldve and should ve been avoided. I would ve definitely known if things were working ahead of time. But despite the check snafu, at least two workers say they won t be giving up their poll worker status anytime soon.
