Now if you look closely at the video from Daryl Holloways press conference today, youll see a man standing to his right. Thats keith findley, a university of wisi of the wisconsin Innocence Project. Its that groups work that produced the dna evidence that led to holloways release. The groups website says theyve won the freedom of 20 wrongfully convicted people and that may not include this latest case. Keith findley released a Statement Today about Daryl Holloway. He says this case represents one example of the power of postconviction dna testing to help us achieve justice, and recognizing that power and working with Defense Attorneys to find the truth, rather than just protect old convictions, 3 its fascinating to look at the specific cases that the wisconsin Innocence Project has worked on. He professes his innocence to this day and is the subject of a popular netflix documentary. While Daryl Holloway is obviously thrilled with his release, hes fully aware that he has a challenge ahead. Which he did to help to help his cousin, alonso sandoval, who could not buy the gun due to drug charges. Charges. Sandoval sold the gun. Which later made it into the hands of tomas uriegas.
